Rare Jamman54 Posted April 15, 2017 Author #726 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Looking down at the Apollo Pool area from Deck 10…… A couple of ping pong tables….. Rare Jamman54 Posted April 15, 2017 Author #727 Share Posted April 15, 2017 I met back up with Patti and now we are heading to the Normandie Restaurant, where they are having an open seating lunch. Here is the lunch menu….. Patti started with a garden salad, and I had the fried calamari…… For our mains, Patti had the linguini and I had the chicken parmigiana. For some reason we forgot to take pictures. We both had the chocolate éclair for dessert….. After lunch, I was going to play blackjack for a while, and then head up to the Lido for today’s game of LCR. Patti was going to head back to the Taj Mahal for the afternoon session of bingo. Along the way she got these shots of a bocce ball tournament taking place in the Atrium….. To be continued…..
Laney219 Posted April 15, 2017 #728 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Really enjoying your review! On the pool deck, are there any lounge chairs under the deck above? I see a few tables and chairs in a pic or two in that area. Are any of the hot tubs covered? One in my travel party needs the shade as much as possible (100% Irish) and I should be too, but I like the sun too much :) This may be a long shot, but any idea of the cost of the bulk candy in the candy place? Thanks again!
chocolate melting cake Posted April 15, 2017 #729 Share Posted April 15, 2017 I've been reading all day! Was waiting for pics of the midnight buffet and to find out on page 36 no pics, ugh!!! Great pics all around, love the debark pics and the food pics. Thanks for all your hard work. We were on the cruise with Jamman, and are reliving it through his outstanding pictures and narration. I made an "album" of our pictures--mostly personal pix----not the same quality. If you'd like to see the few shots I took of the the midnight buffet, check out #298 through 298--O of the album. Just click on the link below, then on the one you select and keep clicking on the forward arrow. Jamman, hope you don't mind my interruption--as I said earlier, it was a pleasure cruising with you and your lovely wife, hope to do it again. PANAMA CANAL CRUISE. Thanks again! Thanks for reading! You will not have a problem finding a shady spot to move your lounger into. As for the hot tubs, the only covered one is in the spa. Don't know how much the bulk candy costs, but it isn't cheap! :) We were on the cruise with Jamman, and are reliving it through his outstanding pictures and narration. Rare Jamman54 Posted April 15, 2017 Author #735 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Patti started off with an order of shrimp cocktail and a Caesar’s salad. For her main she had the flat iron steak again….. Tonight’s dessert menu….. I look stuffed, but I saved room for dessert….. Patti had the fruit plate for her dessert……. I tried the buttered popcorn pot de crème which I didn’t like at all…… Thank goodness for banana splits! To be continued…..
Rare Jamman54 Posted April 15, 2017 Author #736 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Ken Byrne sings “Chicago”….. The waiters dance to “Hey Baby”…. Our guy Agapito……. After dinner Patti and I went to the casino to do battle once again. She held her own on the slots, while I had a pretty good night at the blackjack table. It figures that my luck has been pretty good the last couple of days, and now the cruise is almost over! As a sidenote, I played blackjack with Daryl and Ginger, the couple that were on the Pride for 70 straight days, embarking in Baltimore on January 2nd, and they will be getting off in Baltimore on March 12th. What a fun couple! Tonight in the Taj Mahal is the Playlist Production of “80’s Pop to the Max”. Al Katz and Scotty K are back in the Punchliner Comedy Club tonight. Back to the cabin to find tonight’s turndown service….. Coming up next: Sea Day # 7, or “Baby it’s Cold Outside!!!”
Hooked! Posted April 15, 2017 #737 Share Posted April 15, 2017 This may be a long shot, but any idea of the cost of the bulk candy in the candy place? Bought some for my husband on my last cruise. It is either $6 or $6.99 per pound. Start saving now for those yummy gummy whale tails!

Rare Jamman54 Posted April 15, 2017 Author #743 Share Posted April 15, 2017 Saturday, March 11th - Our 7th and final Sea Day. Our final Fun Times of the cruise….. We are rocking and rolling again today…… Though it is mostly sunny outside, the temperature has dropped dramatically to the low 40’s. For the first time all cruise, I’ll be wearing long pants during the day. To be continued…..

Rare Jamman54 Posted April 15, 2017 Author #745 Share Posted April 15, 2017 At 8:30 am we made our way to the Sea Day Brunch. Even though the ship was rocking there was a long line to get in. It moved quickly though. We were seated all the way aft, across from the rear windows. Looking outside you could see how rough the seas were….. Patti started with the flaming tomato soup….. She also had a tomato and cheddar omelet with a side of turkey bacon….. I had a mushroom, peppers, and cheese omelet with a side order of corned beef hash….. Several times while we were eating, because of the rocking, I had to stop our plates from sliding off the table. The crashing of dishes was heard quite a few times while we were there. Lol. Rare Jamman54 Posted April 16, 2017 Author #746 Share Posted April 16, 2017 After the brunch, Patti was going to do some last minute shopping, and I was going to visit Winston at the Red Frog Rum Bar. The Venus Pool area was a ghost town. I was the ONLY one up there. Winston was bundled up like he was at the South Pole it was so cold. Wish I got a picture of that! Lol. The Apollo Pool area..... I hung out with Winston for a couple of beers until it was time to go to the second slot pull of the cruise. Here they are taking sign-ups for the slot pull……. To be continued……
Rare Jamman54 Posted April 16, 2017 Author #747 Share Posted April 16, 2017 The slot pull begins. There are 46 people signed up. As like the first slot pull, everyone gets 5 spins….. Here I am taking my spins….. Patti takes her spins...... Neither one of us made any money on our spins. When all was said and done, we all got $11 on our $15 investment. To be continued……. Rare Jamman54 Posted April 16, 2017 Author #748 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Afterwards, I went back to the cabin to start packing, while Patti went up to the Mermaid’s Grille to take pictures of the Chocolate Extravaganza and the other lunchtime opportunities there. First we’ll start with the Chocolate Extravaganza….. He does the dipping into the chocolate for you….. To be continued…..
