Craziest/strangest/funniest thing you have seen a passenger do on a cruise ship?

This wasn't a laughable moment, but we were on the Freedom 3 or 4 years ago at guest services. A guy came running in guest services from outside and hollered "I almost fell overboard, the railing broke!" The lady from guest services replied "someone fell overboard?" He said "NO, I almost fell overboard." He said that he was leaning over the rail taking pictures of the spray coming off the front of the ship, and the top wood part of the railing broke off. We went running back with him and the quest services staff. The wood part of the rail was only being held on by one side. I don't know how he didn't go overboard. He was a lucky duck for sure that night!

For me, I was talking to a couple one night, had a great conversation....so we talk a while, i reveal im a gay man....so later in the night, when most people are buzzing, Im in the casino playing a slot machine and I see him drunk having a good time, i say "hey you!" He comes up to me, gives me a big hug, and bites me on the neck like a vampire. Kinda shocked me, but I was fine. Idk where the wife was but his other friends kinda guided him away frome me. I really didnt mind it, i mean i was tipsy too and he was pretty good looking lol...not sure how the wife would have felt. Lol so the remainder of the cruise I dont think he made eye contact with me once lol

Years ago on the Sensation we were sitting in the bar area outside the main dining room chatting with different people on the last night of the cruise. I asked one woman if she had been enjoying her meals in the dining room. She said she couldn't afford to eat in the dining room:o I asked her did she not know that there was no charge to eat in the MDR and that it was included? I felt really bad for her that she had no idea and nobody had helped her along during the whole cruise.

January 22, 2017, Carnival Liberty having sailed from Port Canaveral, a disgusting observation:

I'm at the rear of an already crowded elevator when a couple, both with drinks in their hands, enter. Just room for them: OK. The elevator's motion causes the "gentleman" to spill some of his beverage on his female's companion

s/wife's arm (how am I supposed to know which?) He proceeds to "lick her arm".

And, I thought to myself, this is how Carnival Cruises sometimes get the negative feelings that some have.

I sat with a woman and her grown daughter at breakfast one day.

She went on to explain to me that Carnival is just so middle class.

I told her there are much more expensive upscale lines

I don't think she saw the irony that she was on Carnival!

In January 2016 I friend and I were on the Splendor in the casino very late, about 4 AM, playing slots and a guy walked by totally naked. We went to guest services to report it and the rep thought we were drunk, until he came walking up asking where his cabin was. Security showed up to escort him to his cabin and the funniest part was they headed upstairs in the atrium GLASS elevators

A lady riding one of those scooters ran over my foot and proceeded to yell at me for being in the way. We were at the main pool and I was simply sitting in a chair. It was somewhat interesting.

A few cruises ago there was a couple celebrating a milestone anniversary. (50th I think) The hubby wore a Burger King crown and Judy the Beauty (aka wife) wore a fancy feather hat. (Their entire party of 10 wore some kind of funky hat the entire week, whether at elegant night dinner or at the comedy shows.. which they sat front and center for. I guess a Burger King crown would get you noticed ;p)

Last cruise, there was a man sitting at a table in the buffet area at breakfast time. One of the staff members that cleans up the tables was walking by, and this man loudly proclaimed, "EXCUSE ME, I'VE BEEN SITTING HERE FOR 10 MINUTES AND NO ONE HAS OFFERED ME COFFEE AND JUICE!" ... when he was sitting right next to the juice and coffee machines.

On the Ecstasy last September, we had our "go to" bartender. of walking to the casino bar, I went to the Empress bar it was the floor we were on. I was walking back to the room, and said out loud to myself that my margarita didn't have any tequila in it. The lady walking in front of me told me she smuggled her tequilia on, and she would give me a shot to pour in my drink. I politely passed since I had cheers, and I already wasn't feeling much pain. The lady had two plates in her hands that she had just brought back from. She asked me if I minded reaching in her front pocket and grabbing her room key. I told her I would hold her plates for her.

We shared a dining table with a family from Ireland once, very nice people - we had a great time with them. The night the Pirate came in for photos was memorable tho. The Pirate leaned over the dad, brandishing his sword in front of the dad for the photo. Just as the photographer snapped the pic the smiling dad reached back and, not changing his expression at all, grabbed the Pirates jewels. LOL - the photo was priceless - dad sitting there smiling away :halo: , the Pirate was . There would be a crowd of people around that photo for the rest of the week!!

My very first cruise- March break, sea day... Lido deck is people soup, completely overrun by kiddos, tweens & teens. There was absolutely zero room to walk between the deck loungers. A lovely young lady about 16 was laying face down on the lounger trying to get an all over tan... she sat up leisurely, stretched and pretended (oooh my, is that all me????) that she forgot she'd undone her bikini top! But she made sure the boys she'd been flirting with for hours got an eyeful!

But the funniest thing was watching the assistant CD running (literally!) on top of all the deck chairs to get to her to tell her she needed to put her top back on!

On our last cruise, after the party where free drinks are available, a couple had taken several bottles of beer to the MDR in the ladies purse. They didn't realize that the caps had been loosened. She spent the entire dining time trying to dry out the items in her purse plus what had spilled down her skirt. Not on the ship but watching pier runners, we saw a guy jokingly trying to push his female companion into the water. She grabbed onto him and they both went into the water, along with his camera and her shopping bags. The pilot boat was near and tossed them rings so they could get over to the stairs.

Playing blackjack one night had a gentleman at the other end of the table, telling his girlfriend how wrong I was playing. Of at the time I was up almost $1500. Asked him how he was doing said he was down about $2000. Had all I could to not laugh out loud.

This was many years ago on another cruise line. We were in the Mediterranean and I had gone to the pursers desk to exchange money for use in our next port. A lot of others were doing the same, and the line probably had a dozen people or more in it. As we stood there, an older gentleman walks right past all of us and stops at the counter. The purser politely tells him that there's a line and he will have to wait. Well, this guy could not believe he had to wait in line, like he was the King of England or something. I was shocked that an adult would act that way. Totally went off. On the same cruise I was actually shoved by a little blue haired lady as she cut me off to get in line for a tender. Old people can be really mean!

We were on the Breeze a few years back and got on an elevator that had two boys ( about 14 & 12 ) in the back with one sitting on the floor head in hands as the other leaned over him. Watching for a moment a man next to them asked if they were okay. The older one said their parents had gone to the steak house and while they were gone the other boy had gotten into the mini bar and tried a bunch of the alcohols in there. Before the man could say anything the older one asked the guy if there was any trick he could use to sober up his brother before his parents came back and caught him. The man looked at the boys and said "Not really and it doesn't matter because all those little bottles cost a fortune. Even if you sober him up you're going to be dead meat when your Dad see's the bill." The one on the floor stood up looking suddenly sober as the older one turned green -- I suspect there was a keep an eye on your brother in the deal -- to the point I thought he was going to barf before tiny bottle boy did. Couple beats and the boys shuffled out through the open door to meet their doom.

Here's a link to an oldie but a goodie from a few years ago from You Tube.

We encountered a similar situation one Muster drill. Spring Break cruise. That group was infamous. All the other college groups would introduce themselves as 'we're not part of THAT group'.

***

Walking up the gangway in Long Beach, a teen girl in front of us excitably yelled, 'Look there's a submarine!' She was pointing to the ship's tenders. smh
