Wayco Posted March 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2017 I understand most alcoholic drinks are included with Regent. At dinner, do they offer a group of wines (bottles) to pick from or do they serve by the glass of whatever they pick? If the latter, do you have options if you aren't happy with their choice? Thanks for any responses. Wayne
shuguley Posted March 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) If you do not like the included featured wines of the evening you can always ask for something else. No problem at all. Wines are served by the glass (but poured at your table) unless you purchase a premium selection. Edited March 17, 2017 by shuguley
Rare RachelG Posted March 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2017 They will have a featured red and white each evening. But if you don't like what is poured, ask for something else. They will let you experiment till you find something you like.
UUNetBill Posted March 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2017 It's been my experience that the sommelier and/or wine stewards are very accommodating. I'd also recommend keeping an eye out for the 'non-premium' wine tasting I one is offered - it's a great way to get acquainted with the standard wines on board and to see what you like and don't like. If the daily wine is one you didn't enjoy, it's no problem to ask for a substitute. Premium wines are often a good use of OBC if wine's your thing. ;p
auntieshoes Posted March 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2017 In my experience the sommeliers have been very helpful if you are not happy with the wines suggested at dinner. Let them know what you have had that you do like and they will get that for you or get something similar. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
JoanneCam Posted March 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 19, 2017 Had not trouble getting a glass of Sauterne with the foie gras. Very accommodating.
