TeeRick Posted April 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2017 (edited) It has been reported by someone on board now that they are adding an Edge cabin mock-up on Constellation during her upcoming dry dock next month. Good marketing move if true. Also upgraded Edge-class communications as well. TeeRick Posted June 18, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted June 18, 2017 We just came back from the Adriatic cruise on Constellation post-Dry Dock. Previous postings were incorrect. No Edge cabin mock up was added to Constellation.
GilbyJoe Posted June 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2017 I am on the Constellation in September and have been told my room is the one however so far have seen no reports from anyone who has stayed in it.
Fish Lover Posted June 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2017 It makes no sense whatever to me that if there were a "sample" Edge cabin on board, that they would put passengers in it. That defeats the whole premise of putting a mock-up on board.
GilbyJoe Posted June 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2017 I agree, figured I charge the line outside my stateroom admission, lol. Will see in September.
Getty123 Posted June 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2017 Hi all I think that the anticipation for the edge has to do with the price increases. But, I also think that this will be a higher format and one reason for the secrecy. We should know more in June. I think that they want to compete with regent, Oceania, silver seas and the high end cruises in a different scale like a large ship with special services. We paid around $4,500 each (fo4 3) on an s1 sky suite. That's a lot, but it appears that reality will surpass the hype. I know that when are you on a suite you are treated different, I don't want to said it but sounds like the classes or you get what you pay. It sounds good to me, because the modern luxury is what I want. Celebrity is great, but it targets a certain market, higher up. I hope I dont hurt any ones feeling.
