I'm not even sure what a "stretch" room is so I can't help you. Sorry...

Then why even reply?

I have never sailed in that room, but it does infact look larger than the standard inside rooms, look at the deck plan and it looks as if the standard inside room is equal to 1.5x the width of a balcony room, and 8581 is equal to 2x the width of a balcony room. Looks like you make a good choice in rooms!

i am in cabin 8581. from what i have read here and seen on the deck plans, this looks like a "stretch" room. has anyone stayed in this cabin or know for sure if it is a stretch?
If you are asking, as I suspect, whether this cabin is in the piece of the ship that was added in the "big stretch" last summer, I believe that the answer is "yes."
