arkiesgirl Posted April 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2017 It's on the Promenade deck. I believe there's access through a lounge. If I remember correctly, there are stairs leading down from the back of the Lido buffet as well.
Pellaz Posted April 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2017 It's on the Promenade deck. I believe there's access through a lounge. If I remember correctly, there are stairs leading down from the back of the Lido buffet as well. Yep, and I thought the stairs down from Lido were the much-easier way to access Serenity. Near the stairs going down are these outside elevated "wings" that overlook Serenity on both sides. My mom LOVED those two areas as a great place to sit, relax with pizza or soft-serve, and watch the ship's wake curl away into the distance. Regarding restrooms, I think there is a set of them on Lido, past the seating area where the pizza and ice cream is.
SadieN Posted April 21, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 21, 2017 There's a bathroom down the staircase, port side, deck 8, on the landing. (It's there in the two ships out of LA, don't remember it being marked on the deck plans) Sailed the Fantasy Class about 20 times and only discovered this bathroom in December. Another one is outside the Alchemy bar (outside the comedy lounge) just before the elevator lobby.
F1rstimecruisecpl Posted May 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2017 Does serenity deck still exists ?? And what all is allowed there?
SkyMaster Posted May 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 20, 2017 Does serenity deck still exists ?? And what all is allowed there? YES,,,,Serenity does indeed still exist, and it's restricted to those over 21 years old. At least that's the case on "Fantasy Class" vessels. As noted access is through the aft lounge, with doors on both sides of the stage, or down from the Lido Deck, far aft. I personally LOVE the Serenity Deck on the small "Fantasy Class" ships. Usually not too crowded, as not too many passengers find it until late in the cruise. ;p "SKY"
tef43 Posted May 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 20, 2017 it's restricted to those over 21 years old You are assuming Carnival will make the effort to actually ENFORCE this, which is typically not the case.
Neotericisis Posted May 20, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 20, 2017 You are assuming Carnival will make the effort to actually ENFORCE this, which is typically not the case. True. I've never seen them check IDs (except for Serenity Nights, when it turns into a nightclub). I've also never seen anyone who looked very under age. Truthfully, I wouldn't care if some 18 year old snuck in and tanned with a cold drink for an hour or two. I'm 30 and I still get carded at bars and casinos (talk about lanyards! I was ready to buy one in Vegas for my DL since I got carded so much LOL), so if someone who looks a tad younger is chillin' then I won't sound any alarms. If they aren't bothering my "serenity" then it's no issue for me. I follow the rules and that's all I can control, however, if I ever see anyone who brings a child I would certainly say something. I've never seen any children to date and the serenity deck is my favorite place.
