cbelc Posted May 14, 2017 #101 Share Posted May 14, 2017 I guess I'm conditioned to carry a bag as I feel I need other items at my fingertips. On a cruise I need some cash, that card, sea sick pills, a tissue for sudden sneezes, something to moisten/color my lips, and the ever-present camera. Rare MicCanberra Posted May 14, 2017 #103 Share Posted May 14, 2017 I put my cruise card on a lanyard for when I have clothes with no pockets or a purse. I just wrap the lanyard around my card and put it in my pocket/purse. Three ways in one. I'm a former teacher but don't object to lanyards. They may not look great, but are useful. I have the pouch on the lanyard to store my card and any cash (for tips) as well.
squick64 Posted May 15, 2017 #104 Share Posted May 15, 2017 I keep it in my pocket normally. In the pool or at the beach, I keep it in one of those waterproof phone cases, so basically a waterproof lanyard. On the super-rare occasion I'm in a dress and have a little evening purse, it goes in the purse. I've considered using a lanyard full time, but I'm not sure if I'm bothered to find the hole punch person (I gather on some ships, you can go to the casino or something to get it punched). And then I wonder what happens if I need to hand it to a bartender to run through the computer.

pastamom2011 Posted May 15, 2017 #106 Share Posted May 15, 2017 I bought a bright pink colored 'leather' cell phone case that closes and has slots for cards. I carry my cell phone as a camera... so its handy for my sign and sail, too. They bright color keeps it visible. At dinner, I carry a small purse. My husband uses a lanyard for keys at work, so I pretty much expect him to use one for his card, too.
Katwoman007 Posted May 15, 2017 #107 Share Posted May 15, 2017 I was just thinking about this today. None of my maxi skirts have pockets and I know for a fact my tank tops won't have them either. haha Guess I need to start looking for something! Katwoman007 Posted May 15, 2017 #112 Share Posted May 15, 2017 That's why many use a lanyard. Thinking I might need one! Or a small cross body that can hold my glasses. Better start shopping! ;) Most ships sell the sparkly lanyards in their convenience store. Yes! I love sparkly things!! :')

h_blond2 Posted May 16, 2017 #114 Share Posted May 16, 2017 I have it on a lanyard, but I throw the whole thing in my purse/bag that I have with me. Having it on the lanyard makes it easy to find at the bottom of my bag.
TC1957 Posted May 16, 2017 #115 Share Posted May 16, 2017 I also carry mine with my cell phone. My case (open face) has a tab that holds four cards and slides in and out of a pocket on the back. It has a lining to protect the cards. I always carry my drivers license, insurance card and bank card. On our cruise the seapass card was proud to take the open space. What I like about the case is that it is small enough to still fit comfortably in my front pocket and I have never had a problem with the phone messing up the cards. I rarely carry my traditional wallet now.

GUT2407 Posted May 17, 2017 #118 Share Posted May 17, 2017 I carry mine in a leather notepad holder. With the drinks sticker poking out. That way I have a notepad (about the size of a business card) and my card.
