ccarroll57 Posted April 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2017 So I booked a massage for my wife on her birthday for our upcoming cruise on the Anthem. Her birthday falls on the last sea day before the end. I read on a Facebook page that someone said you are better off booking on board and will likely get a deal. Anyone have any experience with this? I know I have read you can get discounts on port days but where this is a sea day, could there still be a deal? JoyMouse Posted April 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2017 That's a very nice gift. I think you did the right thing. The deals are usually for combo services such as a 20 minute massage, 20 minute mini facial, and 20 minute scalp massage not a full massage. Royal has started pricing spa services based on demand so sea days are more expensive. If the massage doesn't need to be on her birthday, look at the departure day or a day in port either before or after you leave the ship. You could then go to the spa the first day and see if they offer any specials if you take the tour she would be interested in instead. I got a discount for a seaweed wrap that way once for a sea day. You can always reschedule/cancel onboard ship if you do so within 24-hours of the appointment. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rare LisaLisa87 Posted April 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2017 Are you C&A members? None of the specials appealed to me, but I was able to get 15% off the massage I wanted with one of my Platinum C&A discounts. I would keep the appointment, but go talk to them when you get onboard. See if they will give you a special on some added services? That is a nice gift, good husband :D
Clarea Posted April 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2017 I doubt there would be any deals on the last sea day. I'd keep the booking that youy have.
Rare conandrob240 Posted May 1, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2017 They were offering discounts on line this weekend for my August Oasis cruise. $89-99 for 50 minute massage, $119-129 for 80 minute. I don't think the sales on board are ever that good. $99 seems to be the on-board sale price
