Esprit Posted May 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 3, 2017 (edited) We've had 5 Caribe deck cabins with another booked on Crown Princess this July. The balconies are the best for this cabin grade. Edited May 3, 2017 by Esprit Typo

GOODIES Posted May 4, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted May 4, 2017 I am on the Emerald Princess as well on the Emerald deck 2nd cruise to Alaska in 3 years, and going on this cruise with G/F and her 2 kids last time I went end of August the weather was nice, looking forward to the early seasons for this itinerary to see the difference.. Last time we went to glacier bay, this time to tracy arms not sure of the difference Rick
DrivesLikeMario Posted May 5, 2017 #12 Share Posted May 5, 2017 All balcony cabins on the Caribe Deck on the Emerald (& her sister ships) will be the extended type: 9' x 9' with a partial amount of it covered. Midship is always the most desirable but we always go with slightly aft of midship for stability. The deepest regular balcony cabins are aft-facing. Emerald Deck doesn't have any regular balcony cabins on the sides of the ship - just mini-suites and oceanview cabins. There are some aft-facing extended regular balcony cabins though. Debekus Posted May 7, 2017 #13 Share Posted May 7, 2017 So if I read that correctly our cabin (C327) on the Emerald will be an extended balcony? I keep looking at cabins but nothing is definitive on balcony size. We requested a large balcony so hopefully.
OCruisers Posted May 7, 2017 #14 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Emerald. I guess that helps. On Emerald C616 has the extended balcony (half covered/half open). Decent location half way between the mid-ship elevators and the aft elevators. Enjoy your cruise to Alaska! :D
