coolcruiser777 Posted May 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2017 I am sailing on the Grandeur of the Seas this Summer and I am wondering if the TVs have HDMI ports that are usable. Also, if I bring an HDMI cable and plug my computer in, how could I change the input?
FLACRUISER99 Posted May 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2017 As far as I know they are disabled. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Forums mobile app
SadmanCruiser Posted May 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 8, 2017 I was on the Vision three weeks ago and am currently on the Rhapsody. Balcony on the Vision, ocean view on Rhapsody. I have not tried HDMI slot but have TV shows on USB drive and have had no problem watching them. Both ships have Samsung flat screens. Pete. matj2000 Posted May 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2017 As far as I know they are disabled. Nobody "disables" inputs on TV's. It is the remote that does not have that selection. You can find a way around that with your own remote..
jamesr3939 Posted May 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 8, 2017 I have found on other ships the buttons on the TV still changed the inputs and by accident I found the cabin remote also changed the inputs. But to be safe take a universal remote with a list of codes most likely for Samsung. On our last Allure cruise I wasn't even able to access the HDMI ports to plug something in and I couldn't even find menu buttons on the frame. We had an OS with two TV's and the one in the bedroom I could get to and change the inputs both on the TV and with the cabin remote. But the TV in the living room there was no way I could have plugged anything in or changed inputs.
