Shayhooper Posted May 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2017 I currently have a Bermuda cruise scheduled for May 2018 that I booked using a Cruise Next Deposit certificate. Unfortunately our rental house needs a new roof so our trip needs to be postponed for a year. If we cancel, will we get the certificate back? Or does it make more sense to wait until the 2019 Bermuda cruises are scheduled and transfer the reservation?

khaide612 Posted May 12, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2017 Actually it depends on the country you booked & their cancellation policy.
casofilia Posted May 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2017 The "certificate" returns to your "pending" situation; you do not get back the payment you made for it.
April42749 Posted May 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2017 I had to cancel once and I got the value of the certificate back but there was some kind of "interim transaction". Ultimately, I got a certificate put back into my account, after the dust settled.
esm54687 Posted May 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 12, 2017 it also depends on when you purchased the CruiseNext Certificate..... they expire 4 years from purchase date so if you bought this one in 2014 then it will have no value in 2019
