sonogram Posted November 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2005 Can someone tell me if the outlet is a 2 or (3 prong ground fault outlet)?
Don Haynes Posted November 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2005 Its a three prong outlet. The world and America during the 1960s switched from two prong to three prong. While many electrical appliances still use two prong, they fit in a three prong outlet. However, a three prong don't fit in a two prong outlet, which many buildings built before the mid-1960s have two prong outlets, and an adapter is needed. Since the Dawn was built in the 21st Century, you won't have that problem. Think whether the ship or building was built before or after the 1960s......
