JF - retired RRT Posted June 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Hi Is club class dining available for lunch on embarkation day? Thank you. No idea...you wouldn't need it anyway. The MDR is never full for that lunch service and service is speedy, plus the menu is "fixed". The only real extra you'd get is different tablecloths and napkins.:)
AF-1 Posted June 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Club Class Dining is available for breakfast and dinner daily as well as lunch on sea days. hope this helps; this is from Princess website
Clairelly Posted June 3, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Thank you. I'd heard some reports of the MDR not being available on embarkation day. Any idea what the fixed menu is?
crows nest club Posted June 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Hi Is club class dining available for lunch on embarkation day? Thank you. Yes it is. Just off the Crown. Good time also to let the Head Waiter aware of any dietary requirements in time for dinner that evening.
Clairelly Posted June 3, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted June 3, 2017 That's great, thank you. Did you have a good cruise? It's our first time with Princess.

NavyVeteran Posted June 3, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 3, 2017 We just got back from an Alaska cruise on the Grand out of San Francisco. We ate lunch in the MDR on embarkation day. Club Class was not available on that day. There was no wait for seating in the MDR and it was not crowded.
Rare Tak8 Posted June 3, 2017 #9 Share Posted June 3, 2017 I was on the Caribbean Princess May 13 sailing and Club class was open on embarkation. Very nice menu. In fact, one lunch I thought was as good as any dinner menu.
Nancyquilts Posted June 3, 2017 #10 Share Posted June 3, 2017 Thank you. I'd heard some reports of the MDR not being available on embarkation day. Any idea what the fixed menu is? In January on the Grand we could get fettuccine Alfredo in the Parmesan basket.

Colo Cruiser Posted June 4, 2017 #17 Share Posted June 4, 2017 I don't think there is an extra charge - it comes with full suite and some mini suites Of course there is an extra charge. The fares for those cabins are significantly higher.

OCruisers Posted June 4, 2017 #19 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Good Grief  .... Suites have always been more expensive and the location of the club class mini suites has also always been more expensive. Happily, CC Dining will now be an extra perk for those of us who would have booked those cabin/suites anyway. :D
Rare Roberto256 Posted June 4, 2017 #20 Share Posted June 4, 2017 Yhen what do you get except purple napkins?? Most of the reports by posters who have experienced club class have been very positive, including comments like: "I won't cruise on princess again without club class". Reports by those on the outside looking in, not so much.

Very positive comments from those who have actually had CC Dining. :) Not so sure why all the negative comments from those who didn't have CC Dining.

Yes they are and have always been higher priced and now they are even higher priced than before. Not sure why the hostility? :(
WarEagle76 Posted June 5, 2017 #23 Share Posted June 5, 2017 (edited) On our Ruby cruise in April CC was not available in the DR for the embarkation lunch. On our April cruise on Ruby (last of the month) CC was open for lunch. It was nice meeting the staff at lunch (we were the only diners while there) prior to first dinner on board.
