JimmyTheSaint Posted June 4, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2017 It's our first cruise with MSC and needing some info. We've checked the website and the brochure but can't find answers for the following: What's the dress code for dinner in the Main dining room. How many formal nights on a 10 night cruise + dress code. Is water served at dinner, seems to be conflicting information on here. Any other information / advice for MSC first timers would be appreciated. Thankz
Rare Beamafar Posted June 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2017 I suggest you start with reading the following thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2505973 The dress code answer is post ≠8. There will be at least 2, and possibly 3, Gala nights on a 10 night cruise. Water being available in the MDR depends on the region in which you're sailing. For Med cruises, only bottled water is served, and is an extra charge.
JimmyTheSaint Posted June 5, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted June 5, 2017 Thanks for the reply. Do you know how strictly enforced the dress code is. I live in a suit all week and don't like taking one on vacation. I've sailed previously on Carnival and RCI and they're relaxed about it, I can get away with shirt and trousers on formal nights. Rare Beamafar Posted June 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 5, 2017 The dress code isn't enforced - it's "suggested". Shirt & trousers will be perfectly fine on Gala nights. You'll find some don't even bother with that and turn up in jeans & t-shirt!
