Regal Princess Question

Can anyone tell me if the Regal has the two electrical outlets provided in the bedroom like on HAL. One is for the U.S. voltage of 110 volts and the other is for the European/English voltage of 240 volts.

We had the two outlets on the Tahitian Princess when we sailed on her in 2004.

I don't believe so, I was on the Regal a few weeks ago and there was only 1 outlet in the room and it was 110, also one in the bathroom for an electric razor.

I will be on again in another week or so doing B2B from San Diego to FLL then to Rio.

If I see otherwise, will update you

floridarob is correct, there was only the one plug in the cabin. Take along a power bar . . . you don't need one of the big ones but I picked up a smaller one (about 5 inches in length with 3 sets of holes in it) at the dollar store (they are everywhere in the States). It was enough for the curling iron, battery charger, etc.

Thanks for your answers. Unfortunately I need a plug with 240 volts as I have a hot air brush which cannot be used on 110 volts.

I don't think I can buy a hot air brush here that can be used with 110 volts unless of course I can buy one at L.A. airport or Miami airport.

Does anyone know if they are sold at either airport.

cruiseryyc,

Unfortunately just buying an adaptor will not solve the problem (I have adaptors for U.S, Europe and England) as we work on 240 volts here and the appliances cannot run on 110 volts. They just wouldn't run as the voltage is so different. Adaptors work only if you can switch the voltage on the appliance, such as my travel hairdryer or a razor.

That is the reason I am asking if I can possibly buy a U.S. electric hot air brush at the airports.

We travel widely but have never struck the problem on a ship of not having the two plugs (ie. a European or English plug and a U.S. plug)

AG,

Yes you can buy them in most airports. There are lots of new concessions in the major airports these days. I am sure there is a travel/luggage shop in one of the ones you will be transiting. I know there are a couple in Miami.
