Had an absolute blast on the Harmony escape room.

 

 

Are there a lot of props that have to be setup? Is the room used for other things different part of the days? Do you have to punch a code in the door to get out, or is there an RC employee that acknowledges when you have the right answer? I didn't think this would interest me, but my wife loved it on land so we may do it on Symphony assuming she will have it as well.

There are props lying all over, some in plain view, some you have to search for. The room is only for the escape and there is a staff member who is in there with you. They will offer very small clues if needed and will assist if one of the puzzles acts up.

Looks neat, does each Day have different ways to solve the clues? I ask because I would hate that the 6 of us that are signed up for it, the other 6 maybe have some knowledge and make it not as fun. I was just wondering if the solving is random on what and how they do it.

 

I did see where it costs $8.99 to sign up for each person.

Sadly it's just one scenario. would loved to have done more. Would probably be pretty difficult to have more than one puzzle in there the way it's set up. Really directed towards the puzzle you have to solve. Lots of stuff in there. It's worth the 8.99 in my opinion.

 

By the way, we solved it in 59 minutes and 55 seconds. It ain't easy.

My sister and I did this on Harmony. When we first heard the description, we thought "no way". Then, the more we thought about it, decided to give it a try.

 

It was a blast. We weren't successful - needed another 5 to 10 minutes and we would have been there. Everyone in the group brings something different. There is section that one of our group solved that I couldn't understand even after we had the solution! But I was able to solve other things that were helpful to the group.

 

I believe there is honor among those that have already done the Rubicon. Doubt that anyone would do it again just for bragging rights (undeserved bragging rights). I would take no pride in solving it if it was due to getting the solution from someone that already did it.

 

Book it! You will enjoy it. Remember - share everything you find with everyone else in your group.

I first heard about this while watching a ship review of Harmony I believe, they didn't show the inside only the location. I knew of these popping up recently over the past year and wanted to try, hopefully Symphony has one I'd love to try it next year.

We nor any of the others who did it with us didn't consider it a waste at all. Was a very fun activity and would do it again in a heartbeat. Not all things are for everyone. We don't gamble and consider the hours people spend in the casino a waste, or playing bingo, or sitting at a bar getting toasted. Thank goodness for individuality and freedom of choice. Would be boring without it.

Thank you so much for the photos of the Escape Room - had no idea it was so elaborate. Looks like a fun way to spent an hour on a sea day - looking forward to trying it.

 

Actually the photos don't really do it justice. The are noises and lights going off everywhere. It is very impressive and well designed. Unfortunately my contribution was pretty poor...I can't concentrate in noisy environments:)

Don't know what Anthem is like as I think it shares the same space as some of the teen facilities and is more of a temporary structure.
