Explorer of the Seas kids club and First Night Done right

Recommended Posts

The last time I sailed Royal, we were childless. We are sailing on a 7 night Pacific Coastal on Sept 29th. I wonder can anyone inform me as to what time the kids club opens on embarkation day. Also does the kids club close for lunch. Will the kids club open on port days and for how long?

Lastly, Does anyone have any experience with First Night Done Right where you pay $15 for specialty dinning on the first night. You cant choose where you eat though. They let you know where you will eat in your cabin that day.

It's been a while since grandkids were in AO, but on Explorer there was an orientation for families the first night - which I strongly recommend attending as this is when kids first meet one another and friendships form. I do not believe they have drop-off available unless things have changed. AO closes from noon to two on sea days. Port days, they open thirty minutes before the first excursion and are open through lunch.
