Pulling out of Falmouth

We are also sailing the Sept 3rd Oasis cruise, and are curious what other folks are doing if the ship does, in fact, port there. Has anyone tried the Dunns River Falls excursion? or perhaps gotten an day pass to a nice all-inclusive?

I was with my family and we did the Dunns river and a cave was also part of the excursion. Totally worth it but if we don't have an excursion we rather stay on the ship. You can get off and stay inside the huge fence but once you out on your own things are different.

We've been to Jamaica twice - did ship's excursions both times and had great experiences. The locals we've come in contact with have always been friendly and welcoming. Neither time did we experience any harassment from vendors as we walked through shopping areas. One of my friends just did a week at a resort there with extended family and also had a wonderful experience - she can't wait to go back (she also did several excursions around the island - so she didn't just stay at the resort).

I personally think it's a shame when people who have never experienced a port themselves, decide to stay on the ship based on comments from people they've never met. I wouldn't book a cruise with a wasted port. I even get off in Nassau and find something to do.

And while every resort had security guards (true of any country I've ever stayed at), no one has ever had to accompany us anywhere.

Not the US, yes we have security guards but do not need to be escorted everywhere.
