Rare POA1 Posted July 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2017 What is the electrical outlet situation on Escape balcony cabins? It's a BA midship on deck 14 if that makes a difference. Thanks.
Cruiseenthusiast101 Posted July 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2017 There's two or three above the desk, as well as one in the bathroom, none are on the balcony, sorry.

There are three US 110V outlines side-by-side and one 220V European outlet on the desk (which is opposite the sofa). There is nothing by the bed. The bed laps have USB sockets built in (but no electric). There is one dual voltage shaver outlet in the bathroom (which will blow a fuse if you try to plug anything other than a shaver into it). The power in the room is controlled by placing a card in the switch at the door. The ship enforces a strict "nothing plugged in while unoccupied" rule. Stewards are suppose to disconnect and report anyone leaving phones, cameras, tablets charging when the room is unoccupied.

This is not all that true, I my recent cruise on the Breakway to Bermuda, we were able to bypass this system. You can leave a card as long as do not disturb is on. We were actually told this by our stateroom attendant after getting caught, they are supposed to report but they DONT. The stateroom attendants are there to make you happy in return for $$$.
