Some info on Summit (September 9 sailing)

Did I hear that Julie was going with Martin Breuhls to Edge?

I had lunch with Julie in April and asked her about the Edge. She said she was very happy on the Equinox and she was leaving the EDGE for the "Young Birds". After seeing this thread I reached out to Maarten Breuls, the CD on the Edge and he confirmed that Julie is NOT going to be leaving the Equinox. Cheers!

Does anyone know Captain Kate's schedule? I know Captains are 3 months on and 3 months off. We're booking the Equinox for Aug '19 and wondering if she'll be in command.

I think that is too far out to be able to be sure. If they do stick with a strict 3-month rotation, and given that she started her current contract about the last week in August, then next year I would not expect her to be aboard for most of August.

Thanks for the update.

Indeed, welcome back Arno! I will post an update for Infinity when I get on board next week. Captain Frantzis was still there as of the sailing prior to the current one (someone posted a letter from him saying that they were substituting a port for Costa Rica due to civil unrest there).

I really hope that I am reading this correctly.

 

Damir has just rejoined Silhouette as F&B Director ? Getting in tomorrow and hope that the best F&B Director is on the boat- dying to hear his thoughts on the World Cup especially if any England Supporters are in earshot ( I am English by the way 🤪)
