GlamorousGirl Posted July 28, 2017 #26 Share Posted July 28, 2017 This is one of the reasons I prefer land based casinos. They always give us all of the rewards we have been promised, including cash comps, AND free cruises. I'm glad we don't have to gamble on the ship to keep getting free cruises! maryred Posted July 28, 2017 #27 Share Posted July 28, 2017 Just want to bring up 1 point of fact. John Heald would not of been any help, except to forward the complaint to Oceans Player's Club, which is the subsidiary that runs all the casinos on Carnival, Princess, Costa, and Cunard. It is equally important when making a casino booking to call or go through the promo department of OPC, unless you really have high trust in your PVP to have confirmed info about casino offers. Also when contacting the OPC without any printed offer in hand (personal email or snail mail offer) that you do so first by email, to confirm in writing exactly what the offer entails. If already booked by other means make sure you reference the booking number, person you booked through, date, and approx time of the booking in the email to the OPC. jakeT Posted July 29, 2017 #28 Share Posted July 29, 2017 The casino and the players club really don't have there S**T. Together. Most likely will never. Premier cruises are fun and you will be enjoy them. After a few days ask for stake house diner comps. Or any other things you want Comp. The casino is always good that way
Drazil65 Posted July 29, 2017 #29 Share Posted July 29, 2017 Get EVERYTHING in writing ALWAYS! While on the phone with anyone, always have them send you a confirmation via email and do not hang up until you see it and confirm it states the facts as you understand them. Lesson learned! beerman2 Posted July 29, 2017 #30 Share Posted July 29, 2017 Was it really "bait and switch" then? Nope more of a miscommunication that was resolved once cooler heads prevailed and talked to the right person. Like others have said always get a email confirmation or take a screen shot. Whenever I call Carnival and make any change the email from them is always to me before I hang up.
Port of Tampa Posted July 29, 2017 #31 Share Posted July 29, 2017 Wow glad you got that worked out. Recommend you print that email and bring it with you. It helped me on a couple of occasions. Cheers, good luck and happy cruising.

coevan Posted July 29, 2017 #33 Share Posted July 29, 2017 :mad::mad::mad::mad:So....my husband and I are booked for the September 30th Premier Cruise on the Splendor. When I booked my offer over the phone with Carnival, I was told that I would be getting $900 in cash and my husband would be getting $700. After reading these boards and hearing that some of you print or bring your snail mail offers with you, I decided to contact the casino to confirm our offers. I did receive a response within an hour or so telling me that my husband was indeed receiving the $700 but mine was only $300. This infuriates me because what I was told and what I am getting is now completely different. During my conversation with the Carnival rep at the time of booking I asked several times to confirm the dollar amount and she even put me on hold to verify it for me. The response in the e-mail stated "and we thoroughly reviewed your play and this is the best offer you qualify at this time".....Has my play changed since my last cruise??? I haven't been on another cruise since this offer was given to me....My husband has less play than I do and is getting what he was promised. This will be my last cruise with Carnival as a result of this deception. Apparently, loyalty means nothing to Carnival......Maybe it's best anyway since I have NEVER gone home a winner. So...Casino players....beware.....make sure you bring your snail mail offer and get something in writing at the time of booking if it is an online offer, otherwise you will get screwed..... Frustrated in Florida........... you're so frustrated you are feeling blue
