Grumm Posted December 2, 2005 #8 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I think I've met the lady in question. Without putting too fine a point on it, did she vaguely resemble Jackie Stallone? Did she have her own especially roped-off space in the piano bar? Alan
MGoBlue2 Posted December 2, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 2, 2005 The problem being that by the time you need a Nursing Home a cruise ship could not take care of you.

mtchg Posted December 2, 2005 #11 Share Posted December 2, 2005 ...On Carnival I even participated once. Let's put aside the pros and cons on the quality of art, etc.. My main complaint is that RCI continues to ruin the beauty and ambiance of their centrums by insisting on holding these loud, raucus affairs right there. The logic is obvious, "captive audience", but I find it very annoying. Even Carnival holds them in one of their many large lounges, but not in their atriums. These auctions must be huge cashcows for the cruise companies. I know they are not going away, nor do I even want them too. I just wish on Royal Caribbean I did not have to trip over them in the Centrum. What are YOUR thoughts on this and the Auctions (which are not true auctions, but that's another matter)???
