Surprised the details for our July cruise showed up on the latest release.

Looks like some new graphics, but not the updates to add ships or chat, that we have been looking for. Celebrity app also got updated to 1.16

Leaving on the Anthem on Saturday. From what I have read there is no chat feature on this ship. What is

the best way to be able to text to others on the ship? I don't want to purchase internet. Is there any other options?

Anthem uses a different app (Royal IQ) than what is discussed in this thread. If you have an iPhone you can simply use iMessage without any VOOM package, just connect to the ship's WiFi and text away. If you have Android, you'll need to use an app like Google Voice or similar.

Sailing on Allure in a few weeks. Does iMessage still works or they finally patched the loopholed?

Allure never had that "feature" but it does have the text/chat feature in the RCI app enabled.

Are you saying that you can use Google Voice without a VOOM package?  If so, is this specific to Anthem?

Yes. Anthem as well as the rest of Quantum class and until it gets "fixed", Harmony.

At times, again, not always. Still work to do on those bugs. You would think with as many successful text programs out there they could kinda see how it works for them and go that direction.

App updated to 1.16.1. Nothing notable but I expect Spectrum to be available soon.
