Aulanis Posted September 3, 2017 #177 Share Posted September 3, 2017 No, you are correct: US bookings, not for U.K. reservations.. So are some of your party US citizens? or did you book through a US TA Some lines MSC? NCL? dont allow it. So wondered if Princess did as they always seem keen on not having the same inducements in the US & UK

Astro Flyer Posted September 4, 2017 #180 Share Posted September 4, 2017 What does this phrase mean...? Based on my experiences with other offers containing that statement they will not sell every cabin with the promotional offer and it's not combinable with deeply discounted rates such as casino & travel agent rates. I've booked EZAir flights during such promotions & have never read about any "Air discounts" exclusion.
tourismtessy Posted September 4, 2017 #181 Share Posted September 4, 2017 This question may have already been answered but I want to clarify. I just booked a Caribbean cruise for Nov 2018 and we had no promotion for it. If I want to take advantage of the 3 for free deal, I simply need to call Princess on or after Sept. 5 and ask them to apply it to my already booked cruise? We have only paid the deposit so far. I checked on the link for the promo and my cruise does show as one that qualifies for this promotion. Hate to lose out on this deal because we already booked the cruise. I did not use a TA but simply booked online (and then actually switched the cruise over the phone with Princess). Thank You in advance!

Yes, you can add the 3 for Free promotion but if the cruise fare increases it might not be beneficial for you. Only one of my three booked cruises are better with 3FF. 2Canucks Posted September 4, 2017 #184 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Hope someone can help me. I'm looking at booking a South America Cruise for Feb 2, 2019. Will the above cruise be included in the 3 For Free Promo that will start on Sept 5/17? Also this cruise is 49 Days and can be booked 2 ways... All in One...49 Days Or 19 Days & 30 Days If I book the All in One ...49 Days ...I can book an interior on Deck 9 ...where I want to be. If I book each segment separately...I can only get an interior on Deck 14 and the Same cabin is Not Available... so would have to change cabins after the first 19 Days. The cabin on Deck 9 that I can book on the All in One...49 day cruise is Not Showing for each segment if I book each segment separate...?? Is there some way to Get the Deck 9 cabin ...where I want to be? If I book each segment separate then I could then apply my Shareholders Credit to both the 19 day and the 30 day cruises instead of the one time credit for the 49 day cruise option. Extra perk this way...but the available cabins for the 2 cruise segment options are Not where I want to be. Hope there is a way to get the cabin on Deck 9...any ideas? I'm also a solo cruiser so if I understand the 3 For Free rules...I should be getting ...Double the OBC amount...is this correct? Thank You in advance for any info you can share with me. :)
casofilia Posted September 4, 2017 #185 Share Posted September 4, 2017 I am willing to bet that when they set up the cruise they allocate some cabins for the 49 days ONLY and then others for parts so the former will not show in the latter. The one you are looking at is probably only bookable if you book the 49 day cruise.
suzyed Posted September 4, 2017 #186 Share Posted September 4, 2017 I don't know if it has already been posted here, but Princess has a 3 for Free countdown link athttps://www.princess.com/html/global/cruisedeals/3-for-free-sale/ The prices are already higher! Are these the prices during the sale or prior to the sale?

Correct, but a good Travel Agent can work with Princess to have the cabin the poster wants reallocated to the way the poster want to book the cruise. Astro Flyer Posted September 4, 2017 #188 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Correct, but a good Travel Agent can work with Princess to have the cabin the poster wants reallocated to the way the poster want to book the cruise. I had a situation where the Princess website had our preferred cabin available on 14 & 17 day B2B cruises but not when booked as a 31 day cruise. I contacted my TA who got us our preferred cabin booked as a 31 day cruise. Sometimes a good TA can get Princess to override their yield management's computer algorithm. WVBill Posted September 4, 2017 #191 Share Posted September 4, 2017 If you put a booking for a cabin in the lowest fair of the class on "hold" now and complete it tomorrow will you get the Three for Free benies? Sent from my SM-P580 using Forums mobile app No, you will book at today's price and benefits, even if you don't pay the deposit until tomorrow. However, you can call tomorrow and rebook at tomorrow's price and benefits before you pay the deposit.

However, you can call tomorrow and rebook at tomorrow's price and benefits before you pay the deposit. That's what we did, had our TA book the room we wanted and tomorrow she will rebook it at the promotion price and get the 3for3 promotion. Even if the price is a little higher it will be off set by the OBC and free gratuities.
Astro Flyer Posted September 4, 2017 #194 Share Posted September 4, 2017 You will need to book this as 2 separate cruises to get OBC $150.00 pp (max) vs only getting $150.00 pp for one cruise. That's one factor I consider when determining whether to book as a B2B or as a single cruise. Not only does it affect the 3 for Free credit but other types including FCD & Shareholders. The amount of shareholder OBC credit for a 19 & 30 day cruise is $250 per cruise & thus $500 for booking as 2 cruises or $250 as a single cruise. suzyed Posted September 5, 2017 #196 Share Posted September 5, 2017 If I upgrade my currently booked cruise to the 3 for free, will my FCC move over to the new booking? Now wondering if my deposit will move over too? Long story but besides the initial deposit (which I believe was refundable) we moved over deposiits from another cruise that were technically non-refundable but they allowed us to "move" them over. Lots of moving parts here....should be an interesting conversation with our TA tomorrow!
