treasurer Posted August 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2017 We will be on the Caribbean Princess from September 10 to 22. Does anyone know how many formal nights to expect? Thanks
Thrak Posted August 25, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2017 It's listed on your booking and on your personalizer. From the Princess FAQ: Length of Cruise Number of Formal Evenings 1 - 4 Days = 0 5 - 6 Days = 1 17 - 13 Days = 2 14 - 20 Days = 3 21 - 28 Days = 4 29+ Days = 5 Minimum
fishywood Posted August 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2017 On your Travel Summary at the bottom of the section Itinerary For This Booking it should say: "Your itinerary includes _ formal nights and _ smart casual nights" Expected numbers for a 12 night cruise are 2 and 10 respectively. Of course you are dealing with the Princess IT "geniuses". I had a Travel Summary for a 17 day cruise that said it included 0 formal nights and 0 smart casual nights. Ummm...
easyboy Posted August 25, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2017 Thanks, I will assume it's 2. Can't find the information on any of our documents. It was just a mistype. Thrak meant 7 - 13 Days = 2.
Thrak Posted August 25, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 25, 2017 It was just a mistype. Thrak meant 7 - 13 Days = 2. GAH!!! You are correct. I copied and pasted from the Princess FAQ and the formatting doesn't work with this "fabulous" text editor so I had to fiddle with it repeatedly. Sigh... I really should have caught that though. Thanks for the correction. Ellipooh Posted August 25, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 25, 2017 We will be on the Caribbean Princess from September 10 to 22. Does anyone know how many formal nights to expect? Thanks Come join the Roll Call! Lots of good info there... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2306694 We even had some discussion on this topic recently. Apparently, the designation of the exact dates for the 2 Formal nights is left up to the Captain, and we find out once we are on board. But i believe they are typically on Sea Days. OCruisers Posted August 25, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 25, 2017 Bottom Line: There will be TWO formal nights on your 12 day cruise. :)
Cruisin' Chick Posted August 25, 2017 #11 Share Posted August 25, 2017 We will be on the Caribbean Princess from September 10 to 22. Does anyone know how many formal nights to expect? Thanks I strongly recommend you take time to read the info on the Princess site. It's very informative and does have this info as well as other info that will answer many of your questions. Before every cruise, even if I'm repeating a ship and itinerary, I always go through the cruise answer place and any other info. Just in case there have been any changes.
