Buses to and from port

I have cruised only with Oceania and our previous experience is that there will be shuttle buses running between the port and downtown. These buses seem to be operated by the towns. In our upcoming Viking cruise, could we expect to be able to get provided shuttles? Just wondering.

Viking usually provides shuttle buses. It depends on the port what the pick up and drop off points are and how frequently they run. Viking usually does not provide shuttle service on disembarkation/embarkation days.

We were met by easily identifiable representatives in Amsterdam and directed to their buses. The same service was offered in Budapest though local friends offered to take us to the airport.
