TerReuv Posted September 3, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2017 We're looking at doing a couples massage one port day. I can't remember seeing specials for those. Can anyone tell me if they have seen a couples massage on the port days specials sheet. Or would it male sense to buy ahead of time? Thanks. coevan Posted September 3, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Don't buy ahead, they always have port day specials
Bruner1 Posted September 3, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Carnival is having a 15% off Labor Day sale through tomorrow. With that in mind, would it still be cheaper to wait and see on the port day specials?
nhsails Posted September 3, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Nope. Booked ours. DIL went thru her last 4 cruises and no couples' massages were offered port day specials.
Bruner1 Posted September 3, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Good to know. I guess I'll make sure to book our couples massage before the sale ends :) And for those who are unaware of the sale, the coupon code is SALE15.
firemanbobswife Posted September 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Do the 15% off now. Here's a recent thread on this subject. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2539813

TerReuv Posted September 3, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Thank you all so much! I asked on the right day. Any recommendations between the Swedish and the Elemis Deep Tissue? Sent from my SM-T530NU using Forums mobile app
nhsails Posted September 3, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 3, 2017 I do massages frequently so deep tissue for me.
Bruner1 Posted September 3, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Type of massage is personal choice. I prefer either hot stone or Swedish myself. I bruise easily and the bruises stick around for a while, so I'd never go for a deep tissue again. Have done it one time and even though it felt good, the visible bruises that lasted for almost 2 weeks are not worth the pitying and/or questioning looks. I think some actually thought that DH had beat me up.

So when you book online you're only booking in one persons name, correct? It's our fourth cruise, but our first one just the two of us. Figured we'd do some couple things. Bruner1 Posted September 3, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 3, 2017 If you are doing the couples massage, the booking is only in one name. Not sure if the same applies on the ship as it does on dry land, but when we get couples massages here at home, DH just tells them he likes more pressure and they do a deep tissue. Your hubby could probably try that on the ship.
TerReuv Posted September 3, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted September 3, 2017 Good to know, thank you. And thanks to Firemanbobswife for the link to the other thread. It reminded me to check my AARP Rewards and they had Carnival gift cards. Saves another 10%. I know I can't beat that on board.
