Clampram Posted September 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2017 We may have to cancel a cruise booked for January on the Crown. I know that my TA will charge a cancellation fee but will I have to pay one to Princess as well?
Rare CineGraphic Posted September 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 20, 2017 it all depends on the terms of your booking. Terms vary based on promotions. You should be asking your agent or Princess, not us. They are the only ones who know for sure.
cherylandtk Posted September 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2017 As of today, probably not. Final payment date has not arrived yet for the January Crown cruises, so there is no penalty to cancel UNLESS you booked with a non-refundable deposit. In that case it can be worth it to try and move the deposit to another future cruise, rather than lose it altogether.
whatcruiseisnext Posted September 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2017 You should NOT be using a TA that charges cancellation fees!!! Is it past final payment date for your cruise? Was your deposit booked under a non-refundable promotion? I would hope your TA explained the difference to you. Seriously though... check around, ask others once onboard a ship... goggle on the internet to find a TA that won’t charge fees. There are WAY more out there that don’t charge any fees than those that do. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Colo Cruiser Posted September 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2017 Non refundable deposit yes. Cancelation fees? Heck no! A good TA will NOT charge fees like that.
Thrak Posted September 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2017 I'm with the others above. Why in the world would anybody use a TA that charges cancellation or change fees? That just screams "lousy TA". Look around for a decent agent who doesn't charge stupid fees.
