Canadian Scarlett Posted October 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2017 I have a cruise booked for march on the Jewel of the Seas. I just purchased a beverage package while it was on sale...$41 plus 18% gratuity. I'm still on the fence about it and would appreciate it if anyone has a price list or idea of drink cost. I'm most interested in wine, cocktails and specialty coffees.
Clarea Posted October 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Wine starts at $9 a glass and goes way up. Fancy cocktails (frozen/blender) will be around $12. Specialty coffees $3-$5.
Canadian Scarlett Posted October 23, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Would those prices be before or after gratuities?

jc3443 Posted October 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2017 If you already purchased the package it sounds like you are no longer on the fence. Just enjoy! The nice part about the drink package is not having to debate whether you really want to spend the extra money on that drink. You can try something new without thinking about wasting your money. Canadian Scarlett Posted October 23, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Thanks! It is refundable but after seeing the drink prices I think I will be keeping it.
reallyitsmema Posted October 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2017 $41 is a really good price for the beverage package. You can also get bottles of still and sparkling water which saves a bunch if you take water off the ship on your ports of call. The fresh squeezed OJ in the morning is good too. Canadian Scarlett Posted November 10, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I had to change ships (Jewel to the Oasis) and itineraries due to no flights going to Puerto Rico until June. My beverage package that I bought on the buy one get one 50% off which ended up at $41 per day was automatically cancelled. I looked to book under my new booking and the same sale was showing, however the cost is $45 per day. Are the packages generally more expensive on the bigger ships? Luke Dawg Posted November 10, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 10, 2017 I agree with jc3443 - it takes the guess work out, $41 is a great prince too. Fresh OJ at Park Cafe with our carry on champagne makes all the difference. Juice bar at the spa is also included.
