TnTom Posted October 25, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2017 There are a lot of threads about internet packages, but HAL seems to be inconsistent on pricing between ships, and they change with time. I will be sailing on the Eurodam in December 2017, and I would like to have an idea of what to expect. If you have recently sailed on the ship, would you please share any information you have regarding internet packages and pricing? THANK YOU! catl331 Posted October 25, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2017 Just came off the Eurodam last week. Paid $55 for 100 minutes. That was probably the first step of the standard set: $55 for 100, $100 for 250, $175 for 500, $250 for 1000, or $0.75/min PAYG
TnTom Posted October 25, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted October 25, 2017 I kind of wish they would let you purchase a package before the cruise... like you can a drink package, for instance. I also wish they had an unlimited option, like I read they had experimented with in the past. Thanks for the responses!

If you are just trying to spread out the payments, buy yourself some OBC to cover the expected expense.

TnTom Posted October 25, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted October 25, 2017 I guess that's why they have different options, since different people see different "needs". Some of us like to have as much planned and paid for in advance as possible.

john2003 Posted October 26, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 26, 2017 On Westerdam there was no pay as you go rate. Just packages. No business from me. Sent from my LG-H812 using Forums mobile app

DH only uses about 5 min per day by reading & writing email off-line, so he won't buy packages either for less than 20 day cruises.
john2003 Posted October 26, 2017 #11 Share Posted October 26, 2017 Exactly my sentiment. Luckily our cruise was port intensive with only one sea day. Sent from my LG-H812 using Forums mobile app
swsf99a Posted October 26, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 26, 2017 How is the internet speed on the Eurodam? ....sometimes you need 55 minutes to be able to use 15 minutes !
TnTom Posted October 26, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted October 26, 2017 Unless the technology has changed drastically, it often depends on the time of day. Late at night or early morning can be the best time to use it.
