bluvsu2 Posted October 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2017 With a recent sale I called and got an adjustment on my cruise. Ended up saving us $530. So I owe a little over $600 on my part. Now I added it in my budget as another "bill" but this is a Fun bill to pay. :D

evandbob Posted October 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted October 29, 2017 Good for you, OP! Always nice to get a lower fare! I use the price protection form and usually get a confirmation within 2 hours or so. We have a spa balcony on the Horizon, and that fare has come down over $320/pp.

Or do I keep checking

lazyart Posted October 30, 2017 #8 Share Posted October 30, 2017 With that form is it automatically applied if a cheaper rate comes out? Or do I keep checking You must submit the form each time you spot a lower price to get the break. Nothing automatic about it. If you have a PVP you could instead let them know and they should be able to take care of it.
JaniceB Posted October 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 30, 2017 That's awesome. I hope I have the same luck with my 2019 cruise.
evandbob Posted October 30, 2017 #10 Share Posted October 30, 2017 With that form is it automatically applied if a cheaper rate comes out? Or do I keep checking When you see a lower fare, you need to submit a new form each time. I think I had submitted 4 so far for our Horizon cruise, all approved in less than 2 hours. Bookmark it so it is easier to find, although it pops up easily when I do a search for "Price Protection Form" on Carnival's website. It takes about 3 minutes or less to complete the form, it asks for booking # and general info, and how much and where you found the lower fare. You get a short confirmation note after you click submit. It pays to keep checking.
