abaci Posted November 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2017 I booked an Alaskan cruise in September (2017) for June 2018 and the same day created my online account with RCCL. I haven't touched or looked into this vacation due to finishing up planning and just returning from a trip to Tokyo and Sydney. Anyways, I logged in tonight and my account said I owed $926 more then the email confirmation. This amount was the BOGO savings. I did call RCCL and they took care of it and fixed it. The representative said they have an issue with the system where it sometimes drops the BOGO discount after making changes. I never made changes so I'm not sure what the issue was in my case. Has anyone had this issue and is it wide spread. I'm now thinking I'll have to check regular until it's paid to make sure I don't have anymore issues. This is my first cruise with RCCL and on top of this their website is seems to be much less user friendly then NCL's site.

Dennis#1 Posted November 1, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2017 Sorry to hear about your BOGO problem and glad RCCL corrected the problem. We usually book either onboard a cruise ship or call RCCL directly. We have never had a problem as you described. I often check my reservation invoice for accuracy. And if the price of the cruise decreases before the final payment date, I will call RCCL to get the lower price.
champagne123 Posted November 1, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2017 Yes, it just happened to me for the THIRD time in less than 2 weeks. They keep fixing it and a couple of days later, it reverts back to adding about $1000 to my account. This is more than aggravating. Keep an eye on your account. There is another thread from a couple of days ago, for this particular problem. You are not alone.
