What Is Your Personal Record For B2B's or Consecutive Days at Sea?

Recommended Posts

Just curious as they mentioned in Princess Patterson our cruise that a couple was on our cruise with a 1000 days on Princess. Met another couple who was doing a B2B2B2B.

But I want to really know is the number of B2B's you have done or consecutive days at Sea?

Like to hear your story.

Well, only 2 B2Bs, but 5 sea days (TransAtlantic) is the longest consecutive days at sea.

We did do one of those B2Bs with a short cruise 2 days prior to it (sort of a side-by-side).

Our only b2b cruises were shorties--once a 3-day followed by a 4-day and once two 4-day cruises. Our longest cruise was 12 days combined with five nights before the cruise.

We played trivia with a couple on a Princess cruise who were in the midst of six b2b cruises. We were on the fourth cruise that year, and they had done this several years. They were great in offering tips for things to do, dishes to try, etc.

My personal record is 8. It totaled about 120 days (I don’t remember exactly), and it spanned 3 cruise lines (Celebrity, RCI and Oceania).

Longest B2B was 34 nights. Most consecutive sea days - 9. It was supposed to be 8 but the ship had to turn back for a medical evacuation. We could see land but stayed offshore just long enough to get the seriously ill crew member ashore.

Longest cruise was 23 days from Singapore to Barcelona (B2B Cruise) - also most sea days - 8 from Dubai to Athens. Other sea days are 5 from LA to Hawaii and 6 for TA from Southampton to NY. Love sea days!

Now THIS I could do. Change of atmosphere, menu's, shows, itinerary, people to meet and staff. What a wonderful experience this must have been.

Cargo ship from NYC to Sydney, Australia. After Panama, no ports until we reached Australia. The entire sail was 42 days, so I'm guessing the consecutive sea days numbered around 32. I loved it.

Our longest cruise b2b2b was only 33 days: Dover to northern ports back to Dover, across the Atlantic, then a week in the Eastern Caribbean before disembarking in FL. When disembarking I wished I'd been able to add the week in the western Caribbean but we had commitments.

The most sea days in a row was 12 when a transatlantic had to skip a port stop in Azores to change routes due to a storm.

72 days on an Alaska cruise, from Southampton. Most consecutive sea days was 8, from Los Angeles to the east coast of Costa Rica. Please can I do it again? ;)

We took a cruise of five months. It involve around ten back to back cruises.... A wonderful experience.

Nice. Keith, were you able to stay in the same cabin for the entire length of time?

My record is pathetic compared to everyone else's--8 days (one booked that way and one that became 8 days after a delay).

It'll be 11 days next year, though, with one B2B (2 + 9).

It wasn't me but we have a friend you loves long cruises. They did a B2B2B2B2B2B2B (that is right - seven B2Bs) bouncing around the Caribbean. Not for me!!!!!

Note to Paul - 7 sea days - you have my condolences.

I've never done a B2B, but I did have 10 straight sea days going from the Canary Islands to Barbados aboard the SPV Royal Clipper. (A total of 16 days, with 2 stops in Morocco, so 12 sea days total.)

Aloha,

John

We have mostly cruised B2B2B etc. The longest one was on Navigator for 51 nights, I think it was 5 consecutive. Each of them were in the same cabin, no moving.

Oh to be retired! Our most consecutive days at sea have been 5 on the Hawaii round trip from LA. We once did a b2b on 2 separate ships, and 2 separate cruise lines. Got off one ship, a short 4 day, walked to our car, switched out luggage, and walked to the other ship, for a 7 day cruise. This Thanksgiving week we are doing our first b2b on the same ship. A 4 day, followed by a 5 day.

This teaching thing gets in the way of my cruising!

Don,

No need for condolences. We love sea days. In fact, we just finished the third time around on the Princess South Pacific cruise which includes 18 sea days, including a stretch of 8 in a row. In addition, there are nine port days.
