Boo37dog Posted November 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2017 I am sailing on the celebrity millennium in January departing from Hong Kong and would like 'to know do we have to board on the first day or can we hold off till the second day to board if it's in port for two days. Hope this makes sense.
easyboy Posted November 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2017 You need to confirm with the cruise line on their check-in procedure for that port. Suggest you also post on the Celebrity Cruise Forum. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
cb at sea Posted November 7, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2017 Definitely contact the cruise line about this specific cruise.....however...you've PAID for all the days ( and the 1st day IS boarding day)...you might want to get use from your investment! Aquahound Posted November 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2017 As easyboy said, you definitely want to contact Celebrity....not only to ask this question but if the answer is yes (which I'm pretty sure you can), to give them a heads up. You don't want them giving away your room due to them thinking you're a no-show.
leaveitallbehind Posted November 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2017 My question would be why would you not want to board on the first day? As mentioned, you have paid for that day and once you have boarded, you can drop your luggage off in your room and enjoy the ship for the restaurants, on board activities, and your stateroom. You can come and go as you wish after you have boarded and only need to be back on board at the time specified by the ship for departure. But if you should choose not to board on the first day, Aquahound's advice is critical so as to assure you will have your stateroom to be able to board on day 2. Rare Keith1010 Posted November 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2017 Usually you can board the first day at around noon and boarding the first day would not be required. With that said you should board the first day and take advantage of everything and get settled and I would confirm all of this with the cruise line.
