broadwaycam Posted November 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2017 Do they no longer ask you to pick a check-in time for the Getaway? Our edocs became available and I don't see a place to pick a check-in time, not that they go by the check-in time much anyway.

I’m going on the Escape in January and I wasn’t asked for a check-in time. This time I booked with a TA but my last 2 NCL Cruises we’re booked through NCL.com so I’m not sure if this is the reason. ethan08 Posted November 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2017 It asked for our check in time in the online check in section.
REV_Cruiser Posted November 13, 2017 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2017 The section for picking a check-in time was not there when I did the online check in for our January Getaway cruise. I looked at our edocs and there was no section showing port arrival times like this past January. Oh, and we are Bronze level only. I guess I'll keep checking to see if the check in percentage drops below 100% at a later time because of this.
broadwaycam Posted November 13, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted November 13, 2017 It asked for our check in time in the online check in section. Is this for a cruise you are going on or already went on? Did you have to go back and select a time after online check-in was completed?
broadwaycam Posted November 17, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted November 17, 2017 Anybody have any updated information about picking the check-in time? Some are saying they had to pick a time and some not. I can not see any place to pick a time.
Debala715 Posted November 17, 2017 #9 Share Posted November 17, 2017 I didn't get to pick a check in time either, but my edocs states boarding begins at 12 noon.
kelib Posted November 17, 2017 #10 Share Posted November 17, 2017 I seem to recall them asking me what time I was arriving when I did all my check-in information. That said, do they actually check what time you said you would check in? I found out the hotel I am in has a shuttle to the port, but it leaves earlier than what I was originally planning? CruisinHarvey Posted November 17, 2017 #11 Share Posted November 17, 2017 Makes no difference. There's not one person who will your check the time on your edocs at the port. Get there when you want. That being said, unless you really need Vibe passes( IMO, no one NEEDS them) why get there any earlier than noon? You can't get on the ship earlier anyway. You can sit around for a few hours if you like. At noon though, you can check in, and board within 30 minutes or so. Have a nice lunch at Taste. By the time you're finished with lunch the cabins should ready. Easy Peasy.
Sunseeker11 Posted November 18, 2017 #12 Share Posted November 18, 2017 I did my online check in last night for Dec 10 Getaway, I was able to choose my check in time
barbarossa_hoosier Posted November 19, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Same experience as OP for me. Getaway cruise in January 2018. This is our first NCL cruise. I checked in online, and was never presented an opportunity to select a check-in time. The eDocs only indicate boarding begins at noon.
broadwaycam Posted November 20, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted November 20, 2017 I did my online check in last night for Dec 10 Getaway, I was able to choose my check in time Strange how we go on the January 21st sailing and can't pick a check-in time.
