**LIVE** Adventure of the Seas 11/25-12/2

Recommended Posts

Rooms were open somewhere around 1:30-1:40 (we were in the pool)

Around 2:15 we went to check out our room and hopefully unpack. Unfortunately it’s 3:15 and no luggage yet.

We bought the BOGO dining package for the first 2 nights. There was nothing in our room with our dining times so I was planning on going to one of the restaurants to check on our reservations. About 3:00 we received a call from Giovannis asking what time we would like to dine. We picked 6:30 so hopefully we will be done before sail away at 8:30.

She also set up our time for Chops tomorrow night. My husband informed me that the time I picked is right during the Oakland Raiders football game so I’ll have to see if I can change it. Problem is after the Raider game is the Packer game! We are both huge fans of our respective teams so we’ll have to see who is willing to compromise.

Following! We’ll be on Adventure in August and again in November! Question - is that kiddie area with the two small water slides all just for toddlers in diapers? My kids are older but my youngest is not very adventurous and would probably like to use that one, but not going to do it if it’s geared for the little ones!

Where did u leave off? Luggage!

Around 3:45 I decided to go explore the ship a little bit since Brian was sound asleep. As I got about half way down the hallway I saw our 3 suitcases sitting there so I decided to grab them and go unpack. I can’t fully relax until the suitcases are unpacked and out under the bed so I wanted to get this done as soon as possible!

Around 4:30 the unpacking was done and Brian was conveniently still sleeping so I went to explore for real this time!

Muster was at 5:45 and lasted almost a half hour. There was a second muster drill at 8:15 for those that arrived later.

After muster we headed to Giovanni’s for our 6:30 reservation. We were the only ones there for about 15 minutes. When we left at 7:30 there were 7 other people in the restaurant.

Service was fantastic as was the food!

After dinner we went back to our room so Brian could change back into his shorts and we put the dessert in the mini fridge for later!

We went to the Imperial Lounge for the If you know it, sing it game. Only about 6 people showed up until right before it was done, then maybe 6 more people came. It was a lot of fun and Brian won us a bracelet, key chain, pen and highlighter!

If I can figure out a way to attach a video I’ll show you Brian’s awesome singing skills!

The rest of the night was spent at the schooner bar sitting around the piano with Chester. He was fantastic and I’m sure we will be catching more of his shows throughout the week.

This morning we woke up docked at Crown Bay in St. Thomas. Our plan is to head to a beach but we aren’t positive yet what one. My original plan was the Emerald Beach Resort which is only about 5 minutes away. However I’ve seen some recent pictures from there and although they are open the beach looks likes it’s completely full of shells. I’m guessing that wouldn’t be very comfortable to walk on. I think we’ll see if the taxi driver has any suggestions.

Can I ask where the flow rider is on board? We are on deck 10, aft and trying to figure out how far it is from the room. I see Adventure Dunes on the deck map, but I am assuming that is mini golf.

All the way aft on deck 13: https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/adventure-of-the-seas/deck-plans/1683/13

We ended up sticking with our original plans and hopped in a taxi over to Emerald Beach Resort. It was a quick 4 minute taxi ride. Taxi was $4/person each way and our driver returned for us 3 hours later.

I’m so glad we stuck with this beach! It was beautiful and not crowded at all. Lounge chairs were $7 each. The restaurant and bar were open. There are restrooms but I didn’t use them so I don’t know the condition of them.

We were talking to the guy who runs the chair and water sports rentals and he said that although you see on the news that things are turning around for St. Thomas most of the island is still without power and water. Although they were hesitant to have cruise ships return he said the town banded together to get things looking the best they could so there would be a source of income coming back in.
