Awesome pictures and posts. Thanks. ENJOY

It sounds like you are enjoying your cruise. You mentioned that the internet is not working. Do you mean that it is very slow, or not working at all? I am wondering because we will be on the eclipse soon and plan to use it for business purposes. Thanks for posing the photos oh the daily and there info!

The internet is working but upload speeds are slow right now. I assume they’ll be better in the morning. A lot has to do with the app being used. Instagram uploads are working well. Raw file uploads of photos are quite poor. Did basic email checking and downloading basic files (PDFs, etc) the internet is working just fine. I’ll let you know how it is in the morning from the pool deck. It be a location an issue from my cabin.

I watched your cabin video on Instagram and that was fine. I would be very disappointed if the wi- fi was not working well in my suite.

I complained when in an aft cabin and was told that I was too far away from the source, so next cruise I booked a mid ships cabin near the IT suite, so it was slightly better.

Hi Paul

Your suite is beautiful!!!

Must be hard to leave it.

You mentioned that you were at the World Class Bar.

We tend to spend a lot of time there.

Who are the current bartenders and if you get a chance could you ask them if they'll still be onboard in February.

Thanks!

Have a great cruise!

I love your reviews! If you could post a photo of the Michael’s Club “events” that would be great. On day one or two we were always given a 1/2-page notice that had them listed for the entire cruise. Thanks in advance.

Good Morning Everyone! It is a bit of a slow start this morning. We drank a lot last night and we lost an hour too. It’s always amazing hot one simple hour makes a big difference.

Here are the daily papers for today.

I’m currently sitting by the pool bar. Not sure if this is the place to be or sunset this cruise. Still feeling it out.

We had breakfast in our suite. Alfred set everything up nicely. We didn’t order much but he added a few extras. We didn’t eat too much of it but it was a nice start to the day and helped with the minor hangover we had.

Today the weather is a bit overcast. No sun yet and not too warm but it’s enjoyable. Perfect weather to drink or relax outside.

Last night we made some new friends at the martini bar and World Class. I have a feeling we’re going to do a lot of talking on this cruise. But that is a GREAT thing!

A quick note about dinner last night. We walked into Luminae around 8:10. No issue getting a nice private table and it was not crowded at all. Service was excellent. Our waiter was Tony (Toni?). Food came out in good time. We never felt like we were waiting too long or felt rushed. The sommelier is a gentleman. Tall, young good looking guy. We will get his name tonight.

Nenad is helping run Luminae. We’ve had him on a previous cruise and he remembered us right away. He also said someone from here was telling him to take good care of us! Also that same person alerted Michaels Club about us so we’re getting the special treatment. I think I know who you are so thank you!!!!

World Class Bar was awesome. Vasil is working the bar along with another bartender. I forget his name right now but will post it later. He is tall and seems like he enjoys wearing bow ties. They’re both extremely nice. We’ve sailed with Vasil before.

I have to say we were going into this cruise a little sad that we didn’t know any crew but we are running into them left and right and making new friends.

As always thank you for following along and did your questions. I haven’t forgotten any of them. I will definitely get to them all.

I was able to view your room tour last night on Instagram. :) Have never stayed in that category, but after pictures/videos, probably my favorite lay out.

(Not used to seeing foil butter packets in Luminae. Did they recently do a scrub down? Something new?)

I love the layout. It’s literally the same layout as our home in Chicago so I found myself right at home.

Foil butter packets. Yes I was surprised! No scrub down BUT there was the coast guard health inspection yesterday. So I am guessing that may be the cause. Lots of basic bar items (cut fruit for instance) was delayed because of that. We will see if the regular butter is back tonight.

So happy to have found your live review...and see I am already five pages behind. I also see that you are lucky enough to have Sue Denning as your Cruise Director. We sailed with her this past March on Reflection. It's been a very long time since we enjoyed a Cruise Director as much as we enjoyed Sue. Enjoy your trip...can't wait for more.

Fully agree about Sue Denning; hope she is with us in Feb.

Thanks so much for this live blog, Paul !

We will be boarding when you disembark, and reading this feels like a warm up for our cruise. After 12 cruises, I finally got a beverage package. And, though I am shy , reading your past cruise blogs has inspired me to spend time in the ship’s bars, imbibing and socializing. It is a part of cruising that I have missed out on . Your enthusiasm is contagious ! Any suggestions which bar would be a good spot for a “newbie” ?

In addition, your photos of the menus, the food and the ship are wonderful.

I hope you and Edward have a great cruise !

If that's the same Nenad who was head bartender in the Casino Bar this past February, then IMO he's the best bartender I've experienced on all of our Celebrity cruises. I've hung out at his bar on two different cruises. Would you ask him if he has any Monkey Shoulder monkey's off the bottle for me? lol Enjoy your cruise.

As much as I love the Martini Bar it can be a little overwhelming for a “newbie” at peak hours. But everyone is so friendly. I’ve always found that people at the Sunset Bar and World Class bar are a bit more talkative just given the smaller and less “loud” atmosphere.

Despite how I may come across I am quite shy and do suffer from general anxiety. So if I can hang out at the bars and talk for hours then you can too! Thank you for the kind words and enjoy your beverage package!

It must be a different one because this Nenad was in Luminae on the Reflection in February. But speaking of Monkey Shoulder it is definitely prevalent all around the ship. Might have some after dinner tonight!

Thanks for following along.

Hi Paul! We met on the President's Cruise In August. I'm so excited to follow you on this cruise. We leave December 8th for a 10 night on the Reflection with my sister and brother in law. We have never been on a cruise so close to Christmas. Is the ship decorated for Christmas? Thanks for taking us along! Wanda

Love your posts on the Eclipse.

Great pictures and info.

My wife are going soon and she’s loves Zumba and dancing classes.

Have you noticed that being scheduled on the daily compass. We loved the Aqua spa cafe and the healthy food offered. We heard that has recently changed from the Equionox we were on last year.

Anyway looking forward to following your updates.

Thanks.

Following along and loving your blog and great pictures. It's adding to my anticipation for my Feb 4th Eclipse cruise.

If possible could you post a shot of the menu at the Mast Grill. I am wondering if they added anything new to the usual burgers and hot dogs since it is not free anymore.

Mary;)
