These are some others that did pretty well and everyone seemed to want to play these and would jump on them as soon as they could. Heidi was always hitting the free spins and giving away her "free beer", which was money. It was a lot of fun.

This Hot Shot game is one of the first games I had ever played and gambled on with the hubby back years ago. The hubby and I went on a short land vacation in Canada and there was a casino down the street that had several of these. They would hit over and over and I loved playing them. Well, these days you always see the updated version of Hot Shot and never the "original". Well, these are some of the originals, so they must be pretty old. They were fun playing, but didn't hit anything worth mentioning. They just brought back some old memories of when the hubby first met.

Right inside the hall, before heading out to the pool area, you will find another Fun Hub (they seem to be everywhere).

Loving the review! There are a few posters that absolutely command a full review read through every single time, regardless of if it applies to a future cruise of mine or not. Yours is at the top of that list, mitsugirly! subscribed and look forward to the fun! Been to all these ports before multiple times, but I always love your take and detail. Ship tour is awesome.

Oh and btw, if any of you think I'm complaining about the little things in my room needing repaired, I'm not. I'm not much of a complainer. I could care less about the doors or whatever...maybe housekeeping didn't even know. Maybe someone on the last week broke it and didn't tell anyone. It's no big deal to me and that's why I never mentioned it to anyone (although I probably should have said something to maintenance so that it can get fixed for future resort guest in the room that just might have a relevance to making or breaking their Carnival experience. I mean little things like this can completely give them the "worst experience of their life" or in my terms, "on a scale of 1-10 how bad is the pain, I mean disgrace of the room?").

 

After 13 NCL cruises, I am taking my first Carnival cruise in February. This would be a pitiful first impression.

Yay! We’ve got 26 days until our Christmas cruise which is the kids first cruise. Reading your review will keep me occupied until we sail! Plus, we’re doing the same itinerary!

 

 

Oh how fun with the kids first cruise. Have a wonderful time!

 

We also had Country Inn booked for our pre-cruise stay, we did receive an email on my husbands work account about the cancellation and I called about it. I have to agree they didn't handle that whole situation very well and should have called everyone instead of relying on emails. But we also re-booked with the Radisson since they are both part of IHG - Carlson Rewards program. Actually we were really pleased with the Radisson this time and it was a better rate than Country Inn & Suites. Your room looks really nice and sounds like a great deal also. Curious, was that a pull-out couch to sleep on also? Have adult kids that travel with us sometimes and would be a great option for a room for us.

We did have a great day at LFK we stayed until about 3:00 when the rain poured down. But thanks to all of your tips and advice we knew what to do and where to go, lol. Thanks again!

 

 

Yes, I was also very pleased with the Radisson. I was so pleased that I would definitely book there again (as long as the price is right) next time.

 

 

NO...the couch wasn't a pull out couch (and when I booked I thought it was). They offer roll away beds for $10 each if you want them.

 

 

Glad you had a wonderful day at LFK. I seen some amazing pictures of it being sunny there that day. I was jealous.

 

 

 

I highly depend on TripAdvisor reviews when going to new places. PLEASE post your experience about that breakfast place on TripAdvisor. Thanks to your review here, I won't be going there. Hopefully it will help others also.

I love Dr.Es muster drill. Best drill ever. Sailed the Magic last year and loved that ship. Also just returned from off the Vista were we went to Bonaire. I see you have not sailed there at least not listed in any of your reviews. Best snorkeling and such a nice island.

 

It is the best! He was a great cruise director.

 

 

Nope, haven't been to Bonaire yet. I want to do the ABC islands but when I booked last year, B was not listed in their equation for the week we went. I was sad.

We sailed on the Magic last year for our anniversary. We loved her and Dr E. We are leaving on the Breeze in 3 weeks on the western route so I am anxiously waiting for you port reviews.

Thank you for your thorough reviews! Our family will be taking our two kids on their first cruise in just a few weeks, and we will be stopping in Costa Maya. We'll plan to go to Blue Kay at your recommendation. I'm looking forward to seeing your most recent photos of that particular port day. I had a few questions for you (or other seasoned cruisers) -- when you get the time.

 

Does the port at Costa Maya take USD or pesos? (taxi, Blue Kay, shopping, etc.) I'm wondering if we should take the time to get local currency or not...

 

Also, do you know if Blue Kay has the Hobie sailboat that they feature on the website? I've emailed them a horde of questions but have not heard back... I was wondering if they have sand toys for kids or if we should plan to bring our own. (We have a 10 year old and a 4 year old). Thank you!!

I hope you enjoy Blue Kay. It has changed a bit since we were there 4 years ago. But still very beautiful.

 

Yes, all the ports take US. No need to exchange money.

 

I know they have one listed but I did not see it. Weird they haven't answered. I don't believe they have sand toys. I have only ran into one place at any of the ports that actually carried sand toys and that was Maya Chan (which is an AI). I would bring some if I was you.
