I Need Help Please - I Am So Confused

I am just so confused. My hubby and I are currently Diamond Members and after reading all the boards et al I truly feel like we are missing some of the "perks" we should be receiving. I checked on RCCL's C&A website regarding the perks that we get...however, I read on the various sites additional perks....i.e. free photo...

Can someone lead me to the site that actually has the entire list OR list the perks for me????? I would GREATLY appreciate it....THANK YOU THANK YOU.

There isn't one, since some are not listed. Usually the best list is the one that is in your cabin upon embarkation. The best list is the one you get by asking a bartender to print for you off your Seapass card.

Thank you for your response. But how do I know that all of the perks are loaded onto my card?

It pays to say I'm using my bogof drink when ordering for the first time because i have had to query with the bar waiter when they charged for both drinks plus if you are ordering cheap sodas as first drink tell them you not using bogof because it is wasted on cheap drinks

There's no definition of "all the perks". Royal can change them at will. So whatever you get loaded is what you get.

On Radiance in Sept I got a free photo plus 6 for $50 - flyer came to cabin sometime during the cruise.

The letter placed in your cabin lists the benefits loaded onto your card.

As I mentioned above, sometimes there are others on the card that are not listed on the letter in the cabin - the way to tell for sure is to ask a bartender to print the list from within their system.

You need to have a bit of faith in RCI and their IT system.

HA HA HA!!!

That was a good one.;p

What are you talking about????

I have never seen nor had any others that are not listed. Can you give some examples?

I was worried about that, given Royals IT reputation, when they stopped giving out the coupon books, but so far its worked out good. The honus is up to you to know its there and ask to use it. It has been correctly there everything I've tried to use one, but they won't automatically assume you want to use it.

I literally laughed out loud at this, well the IT system part.

Me too. But it's true. And... if something isn't correctly loaded and you see a charge on your card go to the front desk w/ the sheet indicating what should be loaded and talk to them. They've ALWAYS been quick to resolve those type of issues for me.

But YES, read what is in your room when you first get there. If there isn't something calling out what should be preloaded on your cards, ask your stateroom attendant. Make sure that your seapass states your level (diamond) when it is handed to you at embarkation!

Typically for diamond you'll get something like this (things change and I'm trying to jog my memory here - diamond is slightly less than diamond plus perks in these regards):

1 free photo

some free internet time

3 drinks each evening loaded on your card (limited items - ask for the menu at the bar or go to the diamond lounge)

a discount on RC merchandise in the shops

a discount on a drink (maybe a bogo or bogohalf) on soda, beer, or wine

discount on wash and fold laundry onboard

a free spin on a special machine in the casino

some type of discount in the jewelry store

a discount on a specialty coffee (sometimes it is only in one of the specialty dining restaurants)

Not loaded on the card, but other nice perks (if they're still around - I haven't cruised since February because of a new baby):

- If you book a specialty restaurant for the first night (sometimes second too) it is BOGO... but you cannot do it in advance of sailing, so you gotta head there when you get onboard to make your reservation.

- the welcome back event w/ free drinks being handed out

- the top tier event w/ free drinks being handed out

I think that is very rare, if at all, anymore.

On everyone of our cruises this year, 5, there was a C&R Top Tier event on the first sea day and there were plenty of free alcoholic drinks given away.

Right, but I was talking about the Welcome Back event which I think has been discontinued- that event was open to everyone, including Gold.

The Top Tier is a separate event for Platinum and up.
