Just returned from a cruise and used them to tour the Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast and  I would 100% recommend them. They were great, ask for the tour guide Salvatore and if you do Pompei you want to get Margarita to be your guise

We just used them the first week in Sept and have a great experience with ItalyTours. The drivers were great and the guides were very great as well. I booked Naples, Rome and Florence Pisa and we had comfortable cars with very small groups. Much better than the large groups from the ship. You will not regret using ItalyTours.eu

I know that this is the 'Italy' thread and that the company name is ItalyTours.eu, but we used them for a tour from Monaco and they were top class!  Monaco was a tender port so everyone was ashore on time and we had a full day tour (8 hours) from Monaco to Nice to Eze and back to Monaco for a tour around the Principality and the race track.

Our driver/guide was a great and my DW even said how good a driver he was! :classic_dry:

We used Italy Tours for a tour of the Amalfi coast earlier this month and it  was very good. Luca was our driver. He met us promptly and was easy to find.

He was a most courteous, efficient and skillful driver.

Luca told us much about the areas we were visiting and what we were seeing

We were allowed ample time to explore the three stops on our own and our meeting place on return was well explained to us so no one got list or was confused. Our driver was always waiting for us at the appointed time.

I would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone considering  a similar excursion.

Second cruise we have used this company. They respond quickly to emails . Their tours are in small modern comfortable mini vans enabling them to get you right into the centre of things. They are punctual and so there was no worry of missing the ship. Much better priced than the cruise ship and small group tours reduces so much time ,waiting for people on big buses . They made comfort stops at nice clean service stations. We went to Pisa and Florence from Livorno, free time in Pisa which was adequate and small group guided tour in Florence ,there is an opportunity to by skip the line tours to most attractions, but we preferred the free time to wander and visit the markets. I have no hesitation in recommending them

It was great!

Having been to Italy a few times we had visited most of the normal sites and was looking for something different and historical, our tour with Italy tours was just that.
BEST OF TARQUINIA & TUSCANIA --- full day tour from port .
Pick up was on time. Driver was helpful and knowledgeable, we was a trip in 2 minibuses and guide.
The sites visited where magnificent and we discovered a part of history we new nothing about.
A must do trip.
Bonus was no shoving crowds.
Would recommend this tour and company.

Hello,

I have used this company on both this trip and my last trip 5 years ago.  They are a great company to book with and very reliable!!!  Our drivers have always been fabulous and we would definitely book again.  Way better bang for your buck than booking a cruise ship tour.  Thanks again for everything!

I used this company three times on my recent HAL cruise around the Mediterranean.  ARLES, LES BAUX, St REMY & AVIGNON out of Marseilles, BEST OF CINQUE TERRE out of Livorno, and THE BEST OF THE FRENCH RIVIERA out of Monaco. Communication between the company and myself and others on the tours was spot on.  These smaller groups were a great way for me to get to better know my fellow cruise travelers, as well. These were small groups in comfortable small vans and coaches (as opposed to 60 people on big buses where most of your time is waiting to get on and off the bus) and where able to drive right up to places of interest. The tour guides were all very nice and knowledgeable. The places they took us were wonderful and I learned so much. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.

We recently booked two tours with italytours.eu:  1) Best of Florence and Pisa, 2) Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.  Both tours were fantastic and communication from the company from booking to finish was excellent.  We highly recommend this company and will definitely book them for future tours in Italy!

I’m looking at their website italytours.eu and I can’t find any excursions to Cinque Terre. Is this the company you used? Was it a private or small group? Thanks!

We used Italy Tours in the first week of November to tour Positano and the Amalfi coast.  We were picked at the ship with Carlo holding a sign with our name. The vehicle used was a new MB van which held 8 of us. The road to the coast was narrow and twisted. At no time were we nervous as Carlo was a very proficient driver.  The scenery was spectacular and Carlo pointed out differ things. We were very happy with Italy Tours and would recommend them to everyone. We found them very reasonable and easy to deal with.

Were all of you comfortable in the van ?     The interior  photos I've seen show 2 rows of 3 pax, and 2 sit next to the driver.

There are 4 in our party, and I was thinking of asking a few others from our roll call to join us but 8 seemed like it might be tight in the van. One member of our party is 6'3".

The van used is a Mercedes Benz and is quite large. I am six foot and had no trouble sitting in the center row. The front seat passengers should not be of the nervous type because of the twisty roads. I guess the comfort level is related to the size of the passengers but being a bit larger then normal I had no problems .  I think you will have no problems.

Just relax and enjoy. Italy Tours will take good care of you.

We recently used ItalyTours when we were in Naples.  We had a very nice van for eight of us.  It was a tour of the Amalfi Coast.  The driver, Carlo, was accommodating and made frequent stops for photos.  We divided our day among three towns and he was very flexible as to how much time we spent in each town.  This was not a tour but a great and comfortable way to see Amalfi.

They do not post it! Someone on the ship emailed them and asked if they went there and they said yes, but the group would need to be a certain number. We were a group of 11, I think. You just need to email them, then post the info onto your cruise board and others will surely want to go. When ItalyTours gets enough people, they will confirm the reservation. Its really very simple. Our guide was terrific and there was plenty of time to do a bit of shopping here and there, lunch in Nice, stroll along the beach at the Cote d'Azure, walking into the Grand Casino, seeing where Prince Rainier and Princess Grace lived, etc. Have a wonderful time!

We have  just returned from a 12 day Mediterranean cruise, there were 10 people in our group.  We booked four tours in France and Italy with Italy Tours EU months in advance.  We were extremely happy with all the tours, from the first contact with Cristina of Italy Tours EU via e-mail, who made the procedure very easy.  The company provided mini vans for all the tours, as well as English speaking drivers and guides.  We purchased skip the line ticket for all the top sites, through Italy tours.EU.  By purchasing skip the line tickets ,we by passed hundreds of people in line. The drivers and tour guides were right there for us when we disembarked.  They were very personable and extremely knowledgeable.  The guides were passionate about explaining the sites. We would have no hesitation in recommending Italy Tours.EU.

We want to thank our drivers and guides for making our vacation a memorable one.

Florence-Simona & Simona

Rome- Valerio & Isabella

Naples- Mirko , Alfredo & Gino

Apologies if I miss spelled there names.

Question. We're y'all's roll calls dead prior to cruising? I'd love to book some shared tours with this company but cannot afford a private tour for 2 in a lot of our ports. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we are the only ship in port in most cases so I can't even coordinate with other roll calls. My roll call is totally dead and even though we're 9 months out, all the previous cruises I have been on have had much more active roll calls. Is this due to the fact that it's a Mediterranean cruise? Do younr commend I send them email anyway to get pricing on the tours I am interested in? Thanks everyone. So excited for my first trip to Europe!

What was the website for your Monaco tour. I only see Italy tours with no other links to other countries. Wondering if they have any tours from Villefranche (Nice)?

Yes they pick up in Villefranche.  The website is a bit messy and the tour is not easy to locate on the site. It is listed under the banner 'Info for Cruisers' and select 'Med Riviera Excursion'

Well recommended!

We used Italy tours in November from our cruise port in Marseille.  Our tour driver/guide Naoelle was wonderful.  We were a small group of 8 in a very comfortable van.  She took us to AIX-en-Provence and Cassis.  Both towns were absolutely lovely, we had free time at both.  Naoelle was very knowledgeable about the area and recommended shops for local treats, etc.  It was a wonderful day! Would highly recommend!

We used this tour company recently to tour Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. Our driver Cesar was very knowledgeable and stopped at the most wonderful lookouts and limoncello factory in Sorrento. We had plenty of time in each of our stops to enjoy Positano, Ravello and Amalfi and made it back to our ship in plenty of time. We highly recommend this company!
