MurfAtHome Posted December 15, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2005 We finally splurged on a Jr. Suite:D . Can anyone tell me if there are any extra benefits to a Jr. Suite. I have seen on other lines where there is fruit plates , champagne or concierge service...I just didn't know what RCL offers.
brcris75 Posted December 15, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2005 We were in a junior suite (#8070) on the Splendour last week. The only extra benefit was being able to walk right through at embarkation. We were on the ship in less than 30 minutes from the time we got to the pier! The balcony is great. Bigger than I'd thought it would be. Bad thing was we had pretty rough seas and was way to windy to be out on it much! That's not the ships fault though :). sailor moon Posted December 15, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2005 Unless you are a Diamond level or above, the only perk is priority boarding at the J/S level. Splendour does not have concierge service :(. We were on the Splendour 2 weeks ago. It is a nice ship and good crew.
wrp96 Posted December 15, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2005 The real suite perks on RCI, other than priority boarding and 2 credits, don't begin until you stay in a Grand Suite.

wrp96 Posted December 15, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 15, 2005 What perks come with a Grand suite? Thanks Ken Depends on the ship. I know that on Radiance Class, Voyager Class, and Enchantment you get access to the Concierge Lounge. I've heard on the ships without Concierge Lounges that items will be delivered to your room some of the days during the week - I'm not sure about that but I'll find out next week.:)

Krazy4Kruisin' Posted December 19, 2005 #8 Share Posted December 19, 2005 Can someone who has been in a JS on the Splendour please tell me if there is internet connection available in the cabin? I would like to bring my laptop and pay a weekly fee (as I did on Serenade) instead of by the minute at the internet lounge or whatever it is called. Linda in MI Posted December 21, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 21, 2005 There is no in-room internet available on the Splendour. When we inquired about it, the purser just laughed and told us that the ship is "too old for that." Linda
twoguyscruising Posted December 22, 2005 #10 Share Posted December 22, 2005 yeah, I think you'll love this ship. OK OK I havent been yet but I am telling myself I will love it (going to europe in april in a JS Aft cabin). You made a good choice with the JS. I love sailing in suites if I get concierge service (its just the little extra over the top experience). But on the Splendour they don't offer the concierge so why spend the extra money? Just my thoughts...
