$729 for us. Is yours a casino rate?

I'm not sure but perhaps. However, when I click on the $729 rate to select my room, at the bottom of the screen it shows the rate as $179 and if I select that it takes me to the room selection screen.

I forgot to add that I was logged into my account.

It is a special rate (probably casino) specifically connected to your account, it is not publicly available to just anyone. Your Captain Circle number has to be linked to the offer for it to show up.

Posting casino rates doesn’t help the majority of passengers who do not gamble enough to receive them & only makes us jealous. ;)

Think yourself lucky you're not in the UK 😁 My 'special offer' rate for this cruise is £724 for a Balcony (approx $963 !!) I think I'll pass...............

The discount shown was for a GTY inside cabin. The balconies are not included on the casino rate.

Very interesting. I just checked and it is $529 (signed in) and we don't go to the casino. I know there are regional prices and see others are from CA are getting $729.

I wonder if the number of cruises you have taken with Princess also has a bearing on prices/////:eek:

Well we just took our first cruise with Princess on the Regal Dec.7th of this month, but we did gamble some in the casino so perhaps it is the casino rate. However we didn't spend that much money so it maybe worthwhile to put $40 or $50 in the slots in order to get these good rates. IDK I'm new at this, haven't been on a cruise since Carnival in 2003 so I'm thrilled to get these offers and hope they keep 'em coming. [emoji1]

How odd. Mine says from $529 but when I click on select a room, interiors are $729pp. BUT if I go further and actually select interior and then "I'll choose my own" the price pops up $529.

That's deceiving. Princess ought to get their act together. OP, thanks for the heads up.

Yes they were--$309 for a balcony. I booked this cruise for us yesterday morning. The price is back up now when I log in. They were still there yesterday afternoon even after I booked.

You are right!! I should have said for the $179 rate that the OP had shown. That's what it was when I looked last night.

Congrats on booking this cruise. Our good friends that we sailed with on the 12/3 sailing on back on this and have been trying to get us to book it. I just signed on and see the fare is now starting at $529. Guess it sold out.

We got the same great casino email & booked one yesterday(Sat.). Seems there were only a few & only in Jan, Feb & March. Log in & select "find cruises" in Jan, Feb & Mar. The lowest (casino) rates will show first.

Still see a 5 niter in Feb for $109 & our 7 niter in Mar for $149. (From Ft Laud.)

  • 2 weeks later...

We got a similar deal for 3/11 - 3/18, and booked it. The rate was $149pp GTY for a forward Inside cabin, and $299 for a forward GTY balcony.

We opted to go with the $169pp and picked a room in the Aft.

We don't gamble much, my Uncle also got the rate, and he doesn't gamble or on the rare occasion he does he doesn't use his card, so I'm not sure what the Casino program is actually looking at.

I suspect its Random based on age, probably frequency of cruising to a degree. My son did not get the rate (he is 22) but my friends who have only been on 3 did.

Go figure.
