Shuttle into town

We have been to Barbados a couple of times. did the island tour and then we did a shuttle bus into town for a couple of bucks, I believe. We will be back in Barbados in a couple of weeks, but I do not see any mention of this shuttle on several pages of posts. Is this still running?

We took a taxi to Carlisle Bay for $5 each that dropped several others off in the downtown area - I think they paid about $3-4 each.

I was there last week. There is a shuttle to town for $2 each way. Also, if you are able to walk a little less than a mile, there is a nice sidewalk along the water that goes all the way to town. The walk was easy and even had some shade.

How accessible (for a scooter) is the sidewalk along the water going into town?

It’s flat and as far as I remember with no obstacles soaccessible to scooter-users

You do. If you look at the sketch map I posted earlier, you follow the path beside the Princess Alice Highway. The town centre is to the left before you go right across the bridge towards Pirates Cove, The Boatyard etc
