podgeandrodge Posted January 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Hi, I had a booking directly with NCL on EPIC for this November on a 7 day cruise and used a Cruise Next cert. as deposit. I then saw a deal I liked on the Transatlantic the following week on EPIC with a travel agent so I cancelled the 7 day European with NCL and booked the 13 night TA with the Travel Agent. UK/Ireland rules state that cancellations lose deposit, but I had hoped given that I moved to same ship following week (albeit with a travel agent rather than direct) that they would credit the certificate to the new booking. Right now the cert is cancelled. Does anyone have any experience/view as to whether I should try to get NCL to transfer the cert onto the new cruise on a goodwill basis given that it isn't like I just cancelled and walked away :)
Rare shof515 Posted January 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2018 usually the cert is returned back to you and you can see it on your myNCL account ready to be used again. however, things might be different in the UK/Ireland area

ColinIllinois Posted January 5, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Yes, unfortunately cancellations in UK/Ireland you lose deposit. But having really only transferred to a new booking the following week...:p Well, you know the rules as you described them in your original post. Call NCL and ask them. You have nothing to lose since the worst they can do is hang up on you. ;p
