leaveitallbehind Posted January 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2018 (edited) Ive checked Taxi,NCL and uber. Anyone with a cheaper way? Not sure about cheaper but we have used Uber and like the reliability of the service and have found pricing to be very reasonable, and less costly than a Cab. Maybe an NCL shuttle would be less costly but you would be on a bus and waiting for the bus to be filled before departure, which is not nearly as convenient. BTW, while the Uber service from FLL to POM is via the standard "call when ready" method, you can pre-reserve your return from POM to FLL. In our experience we only waited about 5 minutes at FLL and had the driver exactly on time to our reservation from POM to FLL. SpaceCowboy9 Posted January 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Haven't done this, but looked into it: Tri-Rail from Ft Lauderdale airport to Miami airport ($5 per person) and supposedly, there is a $27 flat rate for a taxi from the Miami airport to the cruise terminal. CruiserBruce Posted January 7, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2018 If you look on the Florida Departures board, where this topic is discussed daily, : https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=495 you will see the common recommendation is Uber/Lyft, or shuttles, depending at least a little on how many people we are talking about in your group. Not supposedly...it is discussed on the Florida Departures board all the time. Also kind of silly for a couple- shuttles typically run $15 per person, so $30 for a shuttle, and potentially faster, versus $37 for the train to airport, then taxi idea, taking longer, most likely. Rare Keith1010 Posted January 7, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 7, 2018 As mentioned by CruiserBruce all of this is discussed on the Florida Departure Board. In fact almost daily. All of your alternatives and prices can be found there. Keith

griffy116 Posted January 7, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 7, 2018 I would also recommend SAS. We've used them twice and LOVE the fast, efficient and super reliable transportation and the price is GREAT! They scooped us up (6 of us) and all our luggage and got us from Miami to FLL airport when we had a tight timeline to get there and make our flight. The driver was excellent. jdvmd Posted January 7, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 7, 2018 I used SAS once to go from FLL to our hotel in downtown Miami. That worked out well BUT then they didn't pick us up for our return to FLL after our cruise. Will never use them ever. Two weeks ago, we used Lyft, which is usually a bit cheaper than Uber. We paid $39 and change to go from FLL to the W Miami, which is in downtown Miami, Brickell.
