Rare dronnygirl Posted January 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Aruba, Bonaire, Orangstad, Curacao, Grenada, St Lucia Aruba - we loved as it's different to the other islands. Very dry and arid with cactii growing. Loads of iguanas. When you leave the ship there are taxi busses waiting. We took one of these for around $20 and had a lovely tour of the island. It dropped us at a beach where we had lunch and spent a couple of hours. Then we took the local bus back to the ship. Bonaire - took a taxi to a beach (sorry cant remember the name) but really good for snorkling. My OH had taken a cheap snorkling set with him and we had great fun, the coloured fish are beautiful Grenada - Again took a shared taxi from near the dock - around $20. Had a great tour of the island and saw monkeys at the Grand Etang national park. Nice markets to have a look round near the dock. A great cheap souvenir are the spice necklaces mad eup of nutmeg, cinamon etc. St Lucia - the first time we did a tour with Cosol. Fab trip and we got to try local food as well as see the island. Plenty of rum punch so arrived back very happy:) The seond time we just went to Vigie beach, 10 minutes by taxi. Lovely beach with a couple of bars and inexpensive beach beds with plenty of natural shade

jkjkjk Posted January 11, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Hi Dronnygirl. Is that $20 per person, no matter how many in the taxi?
Rare dronnygirl Posted January 11, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Most charge around $20 - $25. The taxis are what we know as mini-buses and usually take up to 12 people. We enjoy being with a small group. If there is more than 1 ship in dock, you may sometimes share with others from another ship. It's good to share info!
