Saved money after pymt was due?

Hi, just curious has anyone saved money on a early saver after payment was due in full? I'm not looking for one, but was curious if this has happened after payment was due but before you sailed?

 

We are booked for 4 night Bahamas April 22nd.

Yes, our March cruise has decreased in price twice since our payment date. The price reduction form is pretty easy to fill out and they give you the difference back in OBC.

Yes, we've had it happen a few times on a single cruise. No luck yet on this year's trip.

You can only get a price adjustment after final payment if you have an Early Saver rate.

Ok good to know. I'm about to pay by balance even tho it's due Feb 21 for April 22nd sailing. I was curious I will watch, either way we are going! Newbie to Carnival.

Did you book under a special deal where you get to pay so late?

 

Not following CCL as closely as before so probably missed it.

Several years ago, yes. For the last two years the only price reductions I have seen past final payment required giving up the cabin I had chosen and booking a guaranteed rate.

 

I have never chosen to go that route.

Regardless of how you book, final payment is 60 day before sailing for a 5 night or less cruise.
