Joby Posted January 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2018 Are these directions still accurate for catching a National car rental shuttle from the POM to MIA? "Shuttle service from the Port Of Miami to the Rental Car Center across from Miami International Airport usually starts very early, normally around 8:00AM. The shuttles loop the area and return to the Rental Car Center when they have a full load of passengers. Once you exit the ship, pass through customs and grab your luggage, walk out of the terminal towards the main road. Once you see the shuttles pass by flag them down and they will pull over for you. Make sure you have your rental car reservation handy because some drivers will ask to see your documents before you enter the shuttle. That is done because some cruise passengers are looking for free transportation back to MIA. The trip back to MIA takes approximately fifteen minutes. In reference to the rental car companies, Dollar and Thifty share their shuttles and Alamo and National their shuttles. It's not necessary for you to contact anyone at the rental car company for pickup. Most disembarking passengers leave the area before 11:00AM when the shuttles begin to transport passengers who are arriving for there cruise to begin."
