Rare mking8288 Posted January 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2018 (edited) Gem coming up the Hudson River now heading for Pier 88, past under the VZ Bridge a short while ago ... fog lifting ... portnywebcam, not scanning or following (yet) Gem's shipcam on the bridge is working. Weather forecast, rain & t-storms, windy gust ... the usual, as should be expected. Oceanweather's static maps/charts not showing anything exceptional for the usual coastal route heading south ... 7' to 12' seas are good building up those sea legs. NWS has a coastal small crafts advisory till tomorrow morning. Happy cruising to those onboard sailing later ... hello, Pat & Jim; and, Gershep, et. al. - have fun with the Roll Call, Slot Pull & Cabin Crawls, etc. planned. Please alert if the Gem is rolling out any new, different (enhanced or "faster") satellite WiFi ... not really expecting anything different. Too soon for us to start packing :halo: Approaching MCT & ready to turn soon ... docking on schedule, clearing the ship for Express Self Walkoff might run a little late. Rare mking8288 Posted January 23, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted January 23, 2018 (edited) To all our CC friends onboard, bon voyage ... leaving on time, done backing up & turned, coming down the Hudson on live webcam. Gershep, a little choppy as ship head south, ahead against headwind, make for good sleeping with gentle motion. P.S. Dexddd - nah, they don't need foghorn ... got modern radars & navigation. Foglights are helpful for those driving early this morning, however & to slow down, exercise caution. on AT&T 4G, T-Mo/Project Fi or WiFi via Blu R1HD w Tapatalk, VPN secured.
