Do people go to other places from Placencia?

I'll be on NCL Getaway and going to Harvest Caye. I'm planning on taking the ferry to Placencia to check it out, but wondering if others have gone beyond Placencia to see other stuff.

Yes, some go snorkeling/ diving and others do Land Tours with Way To Go Tours.

Hundreds of thousands of tourists go to Belize every year and go all over the country for everything from butterflies to Chocolate to macaws. There are thousands of expats British American Canadian and even Italian living in Belize

Being all the way south you can do things from Placencia, but be careful of your timing.

If you are good with your own timing you can rent a car, just make sure you fill with gas from the boat dock before returning it or they will gouge the heck out of you.

If you are not very good with timing, definitely do a tour if leaving Placencia.
